Comfortable conviennent welcoming home in Oakland

Our host was very welcoming and accommodating. The house is very fresh and clean and thoughtfully appointed. We were very central to everything we wanted to do - visiting family in the area and a student at Cal... a quick journey into SF to visit SFMOMA. The neighborhood is transitioning, but felt very safe and was quiet. We appreciated the off street parking - made access to the house easy for our elderly parent. We will be returning to the area many times over the next several years and would definitely stay here again - truly felt like our home away from home!

Comfortable spacious and quiet

This was perfect for us, bedrooms far apart, nice kitchen plus separate eating area. Amazingly quiet and comfortable, beds were great, shower terrific! Easy keypad, generally everything we needed!

Clean and close to everything

The house was clean and centrally located! We were close to Berkeley, San Francisco and Alameda! Shoes are not allowed inside which makes this house clean and cozy!

Emeryville-Oakland weekend

We had a Wonderful stay at VRBO rental. The house was so well done, clean and maintained. We had close access to our family outings and day trips. We would definitely stay here again upon return to the bay area. Thank you for keeping open communication and prompt replies to our questions. You were Great Hosts!!!

Weekend at the bay!

Such a comfortable house for our stay. Only 20 minutes drive to Oracle Park. 15 minutes to IKEA. 10 minutes to Jack London Square. Clean house and linens. The kitchen had the necessities. Made for a nice stay for 4 adults and 2 babies.

Great spot

Very clean and basic (in a good way) place that was great for our group of 5 people. Also well located for exploring Oakland San Francisco, and Alameda (Berkeley too but we did not make it there). Lots of of available street parking.

Spotless

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit is spacious and well appointed. Our one suggestion is to be sure to bring your own toiletries- none are provided. But everything else is provided for you. Great spot for touring Berkeley and Oakland.

Perfect Stay

Place was extremely clean! They have a “no shoe” rule which is great and host provides with slippers which is a big plus in my book. Home was spacious and everything was modernized. I stayed with a family of 7 ( 2 under 12 year olds). Only suggestion I would give is maybe have some kind of all purpose cleaning materials to help guests clean as they go, maybe Clorox wipes. Regardless, I will definitely look for this place to stay if ever visit again.

Charming Neighborhood House

We were a group of friends attending a conference in downtown Berkeley, so enjoyed using Lyft and Uber after we parked our cars inside the safety of the fenced driveway. The house was perfect inside. Fancy dimmer switches on the lighting took some getting used to, but they are manageable. We also attended a great jazz concert at Yoshi's, and this house was right in between, so the location is great. We could have taken BART if we wanted to walk a little, but it was pouring rain! Our hosts were very helpful using the online email service. We would stay there again!

It was fine. It was clean and safe. It was easy to drive to the bart. The kitchen was terrible. There were only 6 plates and three cups so lots of dishwashing. There was only one pan (a brownie pan) that could go in the oven and no oven mitts. Only one frying type pan and only two stove burners worked. I had to clean up ants on the counter every morning. There is a unit directly behind so driveway parking is tandem. Usually there was street parking available.

Work Trip

In Oakland for work - arrived and door would not unlock. The people that manage the house came to help us and repeatedly could not get the door open. Took 15 minutes to get the door to open correctly and consistently. The house is clean and very clearly was put together as a VRBO rental. There is some issue with the electrical in the house which is slightly concerning. The bedroom with the bathroom - the bathroom light would pop on around 3am each night and continue to turn on over and over after turning it off. In the front bedroom not one of the outlets worked. As we waited for the people to come and unlock the door a neighbor told us not to stand on the sidewalk as it was not safe (its was around 7pm). Neighborhood is slightly sketch.

The automatic lock had dead batteries. We arrived at 4pm and called the backup number. The person arrived at 5pm and offered a key. He replaced the batteries the next day at 10 am.
