Worst Hotel Experience Ever –Completely Misleading

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the room was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the price. What was most unacceptable was that the room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown on the booking website. Instead of a standard room on the main floors, I was placed in one of two attic rooms, which were dark, cramped, and completely unsuitable for use as hotel accommodation. The wardrobe was old, dirty, and poorly maintained, with doors that couldn’t close properly — one even secured with a makeshift bolt, which felt very unsafe. The bathroom was outdated and in terrible condition; water splashed everywhere while showering, and the showerhead was barely usable. The entire room felt run-down, with stained walls and a lack of basic comfort. This was a deeply disappointing experience. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Beautiful view of the harbour located near the main road into town and very near Castle Dunollie,The rooms were clean and modern with vaulted celings and very comfortable beds however the elevator was abit clostrophobic, i would also encourage any Management reading to adjust the door tensioners so they close properly behind the guests and maybe look at the window fixings but break fast was great, haggis included and all staff friendly and hospitable, the parking was abit tight but found public car park close by next to very friendly small pub with live music which stayed open late,in all a lovely old building in a great location with friendly staff,thank you for your service

The location is okay, however the hotel is old and in very bad condition. The room they gave me at first had a huge window in the bathroom and no shades, also the curtain shower did not close properly and there was a ball of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor: nasty, horrible, disgusting, unacceptable. I complained and they gave me another room which was better but still bad. Breakfast was poor. I do not recommend this hotel.

シングルで予約してましたが、当日アップグレードして下さりめちゃくちゃ広いお部屋に。 浴槽もあって、シャワーで充分と思ってましたがせっかくなのでとお湯に浸かり、旅の疲れを癒しました。 朝食会場も広く、朝食も美味しい。 チェックアウト時、火災報知器の誤作動？がありましたが、スタッフさんが宿泊客への周知、誘導をしっかりされてて、安心して泊まれるなぁという印象でした。 総じて素晴らしい滞在でした。ありがとうございました。

We waited around ten minutes after ringing the bell to get our key to the room no one to be found place was dead then finally got key room very out of date the tiniest tv I’ve seen bathroom needs a good update also you wouldn’t believe the dust in the walls especially above the headboard there was actual hand prints in the dust on the wall made me feel like it was falling on me roof had some sagging where rain had come in too so definitely will not be recommending

The website was very misleading to start with. If you need to be charged for dogs this should be done at the time of booking and money collected along with the room charge. Then to be told that there was a charge for parking, which is not advised on your website. The whole place looked very tired and smelling musty. Whilst I asked for a ground floor room I didn’t expect to open my window to the bin area. Mislead on arrival about the food menu although to be fair the food served was good. Couldn’t bring myself to have a shower when I seen the state of the drain (I have photos of this ).certainly wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

Although hotel is a little tired in decor, it was perfect for our stay. We had a large, warm, sea view room which was great to watch ferries in and out. Great breakfast, hot and a good variety. Nice lounge to sit in evening overlooking port. Staff friendly. For us - a great stay and would return again.

Was very disappointed, the photographs are deceiving. The hotel was grubby and in poor condition, threadbare carpets, water stains on ceilings, grubby carpet in bedroom, mould on windows, toilet bowl moved upon seating, lift was dirty with splash marks on doors. Only positive comment I could make is that the staff were friendly enough and breakfast was okay.

I booked for 2 days and only stayed for one. The room had a dirty toilet, cobwebs on ceiling, no heating and I just could not stay any longer in it. I emailed them and said the room would need to be cleaned before letting it out again. Needs a full refurb.

We didn’t last 10 minutes in the room we were given , it was absolutely terrible, couldn’t shut window so it was cold damp wallpaper was coming of walls , bed was tidy it would of be luck if we both fitted in it , bathroom was very small , very dated indeed , we were both shocked , we came out and paint and wallpaper coming off walls coming down main stairs , spoke to guy at desk saying we can’t stay in a room like that and he wasn’t bothered one bit , and just said hum, I wouldn’t recommend anybody staying there it’s absolutely disgusting, we had to travel up to fort William to find another room , really should be getting a full refund, not happy at all with this hotel .
