The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. We also appreciated the owners’ extra effort to communicate with us in English."

"Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft am Ortsrand gelegen. In nur wenigen Gehminuten ist man im Wald und kann dort auf dem Lernpfad sogar noch etwas lernen. We had to park on the sidewalk temporarily until a spot opened up to move to. 39 steps up to a third floor apartment, (not mentioned in the listing). The apartment was clean but dated. After our host's representative left, we discovered that there were no bath towels to be found. We contacted the host and he told us where to look for back-up towels. There were none in the storage...
