Beautiful old Black Forest hotel with lots of history, located in a stunning valley in a picturesque small town. Perfect for hiking, biking, unlimited trails. Wonderful place.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist ruhig und sehr idyllisch gelegen, besonders die Aussicht vom Balkon ist ein Traum.

Nice 2 night stay while touring Europe on motorcyc

Hotel is classic Black Forest style had a lovely meal one of the evenings in their restaurant. The rooms were lovely, nice large and clean. Plenty of parking either in their car park or across the road next to the river. My only comment would be that the sauna isn’t signposted I think you must have to ask, same goes for the tennis courts. The only negative would be the road it is on isn’t the quietest. We did have a nice time.

Very nice hotel - in quiet village

The couple who own this place must be the hardest working people in Germany 🇩🇪. The good news is the staff were very friendly and rooms large and clean. Food at dinner is good and breakfast is included. The bad news is if you do not speak German the menus will be challenging because there is no English. Our experience is that English is fairly rarely used on menus or in museum exhibits etc anywhere in the Black Forest. In Freiburg and other larger cities you will find much more English than in smaller places. The owners snd staff at this hotel are willing to help but if you are not a seasoned traveler you may still be a bit uncomfortable ordering. To give an idea if the service. I did not list my license number at checkin. Our last night of three at the hotel i left the lights on in my rentcar. About 10:00 pm the owner called my room and asked if i was driving a Hyundai and told me i left the lights on. I don’t know how he determined it was my car or if he called every room but i know for sure he saved me an awful start for my morning on the day we left.

Petit séjour "romantique"!

Cet hôtel est le pied-à-terre idéal pour des excursions de découverte en région Forêt Noire. Le personnel, très professionnel, était aux "petits soins". Nous nous sommes régalé au restaurant, ainsi qu'au buffet du petit déjeuner!

When shown to room we found it was not ready. staff were very good gave us complimentary drinks in bar while they made room ready, For the price we paid we would have expected a better experience however.
