The reception was so warm that you could feel right at home. Our little cottage was very stylish and lovingly furnished. Sam and Rich you are so wonderful and loving and so unobtrusive. Your hospitality is so honest, whether the delicious tarts, the freshly baked bread or the fresh rolls in the morning were just great. We felt a little bit like coming home. And we would like to come again.

Absolutely perfect!

If I could give 10 stars I would! I have never stayed at a vrbo that was more thoughtful of its guests' needs than QBV. The property is stunning and everything you look for in a rural stay - gorgeous views, area to walk around, and plentiful fruit trees to provide you with snacks! The accommodations are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Above all, we felt that our every need was considered. The unit was well stocked with essentials as none I had ever experienced in a vrbo before. The hosts are the warmest you'll find, with the perfect balance of attending to your needs without being in your way. Whether you come here wanting complete anonymity and peace, or if you come wanting a chatty and social experience, you will be well-served. It's a rare place that can give all types of people what they need. A one-of-a-kind find! I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will encourage everyone I know to come to this area and stay at Quinta Bom Vent.

Noch nie hatten wir solch herzliche, aufmerksame Gastgebende. Es war zu spüren, dass die beiden mit viel Liebe dabei sind. Unser Studio war sehr gemütlich und hatte alles, was wir brauchten (und mehr). Die dörfliche, authentische Umgebung hat uns jedes Mal beim Durchfahren entschleunigt und erfreut. Dazu waren die fantastische, wilde Atlantikküste und das bezaubernde Óbidos mit dem Auto schnell erreicht. Wir haben alles zusammen sehr genossen und kommen nächste Jahr wieder!

Concernant nos hôtes, des personnes exceptionnelles qui se plient en 4 pour nous faire plaisir.

Location très agréable, située à proximité d'Óbidos, Foz d'Arelho, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha, Budha Eden Garden.... À notre arrivée dans le réfrigérateur bières, vins, yaourts, beurre, confiture maison, en plus de fruits, pommes de terre, et tomates du jardin...cafés , thés et plein d'autres petites surprises. Du pain frais et gâteaux accrochés le matin sur la porte...avec toujours un petit mot de nos hôtes. Vous trouverez tout dans la maison, cuisine très bien équipée et même plus... On vous recommande vivement à Quinta do Bom Vento, où vous serez reçus comme des princes par Rich et Sam, Scrabble et Bingo.

High end luxury in rural retreat

Booked a cheeky long weekend in November for a birthday treat. We were expecting it to be cold and rainy but this lovely unspoilt bit of Portugal seems to be endlessly sunny and warm. But better than the sunshine was Qinta da Bom Vento - a sympathetically renovated farm where every detail has been thought of and nothing is too much trouble for the lovely owners Rich and Sam. Our apartment was beautiful and the view from our balcony over the valley and the olive groves was gorgeous - a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a glass of the amazingly cheap and delicious local wine. Lots to see and do and loads of great non-touristy eateries nearby. Loved it and already planning another visit - luckily there's another birthday to celebrate!

Romantic and private country getaway with world class hosts!

We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta do Bom Vento! Sam and Rich are expert in all things hospitality and their talents sparkled in welcoming us for our honeymoon. From the first contact via email to our final send off (Thanks for the delicious homemade ice cream!) and everything in between, our experience with them was fantastic. We stayed for 6 days in the Mediterranean suite and wished we could have stayed longer. The suite was spotless, neatly decorated, fully equipped for cooking (grill included!) private but not isolated and was perfect for a quiet country getaway. We highly recommend a stay with Sam and Rich at Quinta do Bom Vento and can't wait to return to stay with them again.
