I want to start by saying that this place was absolutely wonderful, and we had a great vacation overall. The unit itself was lovely, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for the week.
That said, we did have a couple of issues related to property management that were a bit frustrating. When we arrived at 4 p.m. to check in and went to the unit, we found that it had not been cleaned yet. That was surprising, given that check-in time had already passed. About 20 minutes later, we ran into the cleaning staff, and the woman we spoke with was extremely kind and apologetic. She explained that she was running behind and had run out of towels but made a special effort to bring us extras, which we really appreciated.
The second issue happened on Monday. Apparently, the unit below us reported a leak that might have been coming from one of our bathrooms. While we were at the beach, building maintenance came in to check things out, but when we returned, we found a huge mess. There was black, gritty material—like sand—spread across the bathroom floor, counter, and toilet. Unfortunately, no one cleaned it up, and when we contacted Vacasa to ask if someone could come take care of it, they told us it wasn’t their responsibility and blamed building maintenance. So we had to clean it ourselves as best we could, which was not ideal.
Despite these hiccups, we truly enjoyed our stay. The location and accommodations were excellent, and we’d definitely stay here again. It would just be nice if the property management could smooth out some of these issues in the future.
