Our spectacular beach property is 'On The Sand,' offering its own private beach while providing white water views and soothing ocean sounds (you hear the surf in every room). It has a bright beachy decor and a quiet location - conveniently located halfway between the Village in Carlsbad and the Pier in Oceanside (we walk on the sand to both).

This completely renovated home is fully furnished (we relax here frequently) and offers sweeping ocean views from La Jolla to Catalina. You can watch the dolphins play or the whales spout from the living room, deck, or beach.

At night, visit one of the area's fine restaurants or simply dine on the beach while watching the beautiful sun set over the Pacific. During the day, relax on the beach or enjoy the numerous activities that are unique to this fabulous destination.

This listing is for UNIT A.

UNIT A (sleeps 1 to 6): Has 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom and has a California king size bed in each of the bedrooms and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.

There are 3 different units. Unit A (2 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 6), Unit B (2 Bd, 2 Ba - sleeps 6), and Unit C (1 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 4). Unit B is VRBO #882234, Unit C is VRBO #253036, and all 3 units are VRBO #882235.

The units are vertically arranged with Unit A at the street level, Unit B in the middle, and Unit C at the sand level. All 3 units face the ocean, have oceanfront decks, and share the private beach.

Our beach house is 'well cared for' since we personally (as well as our family) stay in all 3 units, and we do have wireless broadband internet access. Over the years, we have had 100s of delighted beach loving guests.

The unit was very clean and as described. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies and spices. Unit A also has an amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. Great place to stay!

Ocean Bliss

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Listening to the ocean sounds, watching the surfers, seeing the dolphin swim by and walking on the beach made our stay. Our day would start with coffee on the balcony watching the surfers and end with cocktails on the balcony watching the gorgeous sunset. Thanks for a great week.

Location!

The place is in an absolutely beautiful location, with a stunning view of the ocean. Access to the beach is convenient and everything we needed was just a short walk away. We were able to enjoy the downtown area as well as different restaurants in the area. The house was clean and welcoming. Our host and hostess were very friendly and made our stay feel like home.

Great spot for surfing

Great location with surfing nearby. Just had to walk a few blocks to the beach since even at low tide there was no beach exposed behind this property. Views were great.Property was nice & had everything we needed. Would definitely come back.

Great Place!

The house was a great place for a family to stay. The view was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything you need for a extended stay. It was close to Legoland and the oceanside harbor with great restaurants. My only complaint was in the picture it shows a large beach but when we were there the water was up against the fence so we were unable to walk the beach. Loved the house would come back again.

Beach House Getaway

Lovely beach house with cottage like feel. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Incredible Ocean views! We had the top floor unit with lots of daylight. Beautiful sunsets. Would definitely rent again. Excellent communication with owner.

Affordable ocean views

Loved the views, the location and fit everybody comfortably. Photos can be misleading as you can not enjoy the ocean until low tide. Coin op washer and dryer is a little ridiculous.

Beautiful place to stay

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was beautiful. Exactly as advertised, the kids enjoyed playing in the sand. We enjoyed watching the tide change. When tide was low we were able to go down on the beach and play in the water. The beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of cooking ware to make your meals. Kelly was very kind. We cant wait to book again and back to make some more memories!

Stunning views but dirty floors

The view of the ocean is stunning! The tide changes are significant and impressive to watch off of the back deck. Unfortunately, this property is fairly old and was not very clean, especially the floors. The owner was responsive and apologetic about the cleanliness, however more oversite to the cleaning should have taken place.

Perfect beach house to recover from Disney!

We stayed here for a couple days after going to Disneyland. It is an older property so expect what comes with that, but it is well kept and the view is absolutely breathtaking! You can’t really play in the water expect early in the morning until about 9:30 when high tide comes in. But that wasn’t an issue for us, we woke up early and walked the beach to find shells and our girls really enjoyed playing in the sand during the day when the water was to high. We absolutely loved our time here and did not want to leave. We will definitely be back! 😊 **don’t forget coins! The laundry is coin operated. Also I would bring your own beach towels we weren’t able to find any in the unit!

Great Location and Views of Ocean

We enjoyed our stay at this beach house, in unit A on the top level. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. We watched surfers each morning and could walk down to a private beach area and also walk down the stairs to walk along the coast. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes and all you might need during your stay. There is no air conditioning and our first evening was VERY Hot but did cool off with balcony door, windows opened with fans running. By the time we went to bed, it was actually very comfortable for sleeping. This unit would greatly benefit with an updated kitchen and bathroom and air conditioning. Beds, floors, kitchen counters /dishes, linens, furnishings were clean. Baseboards, inside cabinets, light fixtures etc had build up of dust and such. Overall our stay was great. We stayed in mid September and the temp was in the low 60's at night with highs in the upper 70's.

FANTASTIC VACATION

We arrived the evening of Sept 9th. It was unusually warm in Oceanside and our unit was on the top floor, therefore it was pretty warm inside. Once we got in, opened the doors, and let the ocean breeze in it was just fine. This rental is right on the beach! Nice, fenced yard with steps down to the water, but we spent all our time on the balcony. There was a table and chairs as well as 2 lounge chairs to spend your day watching and listening to the ocean. Fans are furnished to move the air thru the house. We were quite comfortable. Each bedroom has a king bed with nice linens. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. Just bring your food and snacks!😊 The street is narrow, but we never had an issue with parking. This place is SUPER easy to get to and Oceanside is very easy to get around in! We'll definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

This is the best value in the whole area. The house is right on the sand. Unlike many houses in the area it has stairs leading directly to the beach. Clean and comfortable. Owners are very responsive. We have stayed here many times and plan on returning in the future.

A Perfect Oceanside Getaway

This property has stunning views, updated decor, and everything you need for a great stay. The kitchen is well stocked, there are sand toys for the kids, and the owner Kelley is so responsive. We even saw dolphins from the deck! We will definitely be back!

Perfect family getaway

The view was gorgeous at all times, but specially around sun set. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked. They have plenty of fans for summertime. Looking forward to the next time we can stay here again!
