“Read some negative comments from various hotels booking website, have struggled to book it or not, but there are not really many hotels / ryokans in Onomichi. Anyway, the reality is, starting from the check in till check out, we are very satisfied and amazed. We need to give it a fair comment to support the staff there. The hotel is just by the seaside, thus we enjoyed wide ocean view from our rooms. It is over 100 years history, surely it will look old, but it is full of retro and……

“The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were the highlight of our stay. Our room had a nice view of the sea, beds were very comfortable, and i had a good sleep. The hosts were very welcoming and gracious. This location was on the Shimanami Trail, right next to the shotengai, and across a ferry landing. Very quiet and charming place.”
