"This is an ideal family oriented gateway. The pool was awesome, the rooms were clean and spacious and the many planted trees and flowers brought ambience to the outdoors. Kevin and Lorraine were very accomodating as well. We experienced few minor issues with the bathroom plumbing and AC units but our overall stay was terrific. We will definitively be back again."

"I have been at better all-inclusive resorts than Riu Ocho Rios. They advertise 24/7 all inclusive resort. That is false advertising, no room service. There are very few employees that are pleasant with customers at the restaurants. When I checked in I asked if the two rooms were had conjoining doors and I was told yes but they were not. Building 4 is the building for families and there is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs, because front desk said we can just take our luggage. In one of the rooms the weather stripping was falling off and the door wouldn’t latch closed. In other room the toilet wouldn’t flush. There was ants and bugs in both rooms because the weather stripping was not existent on bottom of doors. Life Guard at pool was rude. He wasn’t even sitting in his chair where he could see pool, it was windy and one of the girls was spraying on sun screen and he told her she needed to walk away from pool to spray on sunscreen rather than him moving to where he should be sitting. Overall I would never stay at this hotel again. Paid a lot of money for this trip and don’t think the accommodations were worth what I paid."
