White Peakes Lodge - fully furnished house

10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay at Ohakune White Peaks Lodge! From the very beginning, communication with the host was seamless, featuring clear and accurate instructions that made check-in and settling in effortless. The property is remarkably spacious and easily accommodated our group of 14 adults and kids without ever feeling crowded. It came fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The lodge was clean, well-maintained, and exceptionally family-friendly—our kids were instantly won over by the huge selection of toys and books provided.A major highlight for our group was the absence of Wi-Fi. It turned out to be a wonderful blessing in disguise! Without screens to distract them, the kids spent their time playing together, and the adults actually sat down and reconnected.Practical amenities were also top-notch:Warmth: Plenty of heaters were provided in the bedrooms to keep everyone cozy throughout the night.Efficiency: Gas appliances meant fast meal prep for a big group and continuous hot water for everyone’s showers. We would definitely recommend Ohakune White Peaks Lodge to any families or large groups looking for a relaxing, well-equipped getaway. We would love to stay again!"

"It was a nice warm pad and fine for a family of two adults and two teens. At that price you’d expect cleaning and sheets to be included, we were a little surprised to have to vacuum, scrub the bathroom, and bring our own linen/towels. But good location and owners were super helpful."

Powder Hut Ohakune - cosy wee cottage in central Ohakune

8/10 Good
"Great location in Ohakune close to Turoa.Quite small and fairly close to other chalets, but totally fine for our family of four.Looks a bit tired in areas but was comfortable enough.Kitchen could have done with a few supplies like gladwrap and baking paper.Worth noting that the railing on the upstairs mezzanine area is very low. I'd be nervous staying here with very young children.Overall a decent place to stay."
