Sorry, maar er zijn grenzen aan wat men kan aanbieden als verblijf. Met de grootste moeite (incl hulp omwonenden) gevonden. Na 'vondst' afgedaald in de krochten van Ohrid. Misschien leuk voor liefhebbers van nostalgie uit de jaren '70 (incl het verval sindsdien). Ik heb her er in ieder geval niet op aan laten komen en gekozen voor een hotel elders (whatever the extra costs take)

The room was filthy. We are a family and travel frequently and I would never recommend a family stay here. The room was filthy and covered with spiders. We even killed a scorpion in our bed. Our children were scared all the time because of the spiders everywhere. The bathrooms were covered in water and we had to wear shoes to go to the bathroom. The smell from the bathroom was very poor and strong. I am sure this hotel was nice at one point, but it is in need of serious cleaning and attention.

Nice room, view, unpleasant bathroom, no cleaning

The view over the Ohrid lake and the room were beautiful. The location was good. The fridge and electric kettle worked well. The bed was comfortable but too much perfume in the linen. There was though no cleaning at all during our one week visit. We run out of toilet paper the second day. The garbage bins were full all the time and the weather was hot. The shower was broken and it spread water all over the bathroom. There were ponds on the floor when we came. The toilet leaked and the smell came into the bedroom. There was no way to dry the floor. There was black mold on the floor and the log in the roof was rotten because of the moisture. There was no air conditioning. There was dust and garbage under the bed. We booked a non-smoking room but there was cigarrette smoke all over the house and you could’t keep the terracce door open because of the smoke. The kitchen and the equipment were dirty and used. It seemed that there was not enough personnel to keep the hotel running. The host was friendly and talkative and ordered a taxi for us. We didn’t see any other personnel. You should check out the place, at least room 2. and update the text on the booking site. We didn’t dare to ask for service after seeing the answer to reviews on the website: unpleasant, arrogant guests and so on. We tried to manage on our own.

Geweldig uitzicht. De kamer was netjes, alleen wat rommelig. De douche werkte goed. De wifi werkte redelijk. De matrassen waren wat dun. Dat er geen airco was is wel een min punt.

Great views and central location

Great location, just up from the main town and water. Views are amazing. You can find the place but walking away from the main square and up a hill with shallow steps. Call the owner or get a taxi.

Like sleeping in a fairytale

Fairytale setting with an unbeatable view of the lake and town. The first hours there I couldn't stop smiling because it was such a unique place, like staying in a location storybook. From a practicality perspective, it has very comfortable beds, is in a quiet location that provides excellent sleep quality. Big balcony overlooking the lake, room to have friends out with you for a nice local wine. The owner is a kindly fellow who will go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Ohrid.

Patio, Wine, and Lake Ohrid Views

What an amazing property. Just a handful of rooms and all with stunning views of the lake. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine - the perfect accompaniment to the deck and views. The bed is extremely comfortable. The room is rustic and charming with exposed rock and brick walls. The friendliest host. Check out photos. Definitely what we were looking for. Great location. There are some steps, but well worth it.

Bokade ett DYRT sk 3 bäddsrum där öppen spis skulle finnas. Fanns ingen spis och överhuvudtaget allt som fanns specificerat på hotellet och rummet saknades: morgonrockar, tofflor duschen som kallades badrum var sunkigt illaluktande. All köksutrustning var överbliven, fanns inga disktrasor. Helt enkelt rejält sunkigt. En sak som inte angavs fanns dock: en kackerlacka. Boendet skulle vara rökfritt, men värden hasade omkring och rökte för fullt. Lyhört till tusen. Varnar alla för Grebnos Stonehous i Ohrid. Detta är en skandal att Hotels.com kan anvisa så usla boenden.

Nice stay with an incredible view

I liked the stay at the Grebnos Stone-house. The good sized private terrasse has an incredible view (I had the room for two persons at the right). The room was very clean, it has no carpet, but a stone floor. I like that, it's simply better in summertime (slippers were provided). The house is located right in the old-town area, but it was very quiet in the night. There's also a kitchen, which can be used by the guests. A good sized fridge was also in my room and you also could do laundry. Pavel is very helpful and friendly. He organized the taxi, offered wine and strawberries. You could feel, that he is proud on the remodelling of the house. The Grebnos Stone-House Appartemnt is one of the most beautiful hotels I stayed. Thanks Pavel!

Flott utsikt, kjekk plass

Fin utsikt og kjekt med egen terrasse med kjøleskap utenfor rommet. Ble tatt godt i mot av hyggelig vertskap. Av negative ting så var madrassen litt hard og det manglet noen lyspærer. Ellers et OK sted og vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Heureusement qu'il y a la vue

Pavel, le propriétaire était beaucoup trop présent. Il ne présentait pas bien : rustre et un peu sale. La chambre un peu bruyante, car proche des quartiers qui bougent. La literie est néanmoins confortable, la terrasse et la vue sur le lac ont sauvé notre séjour. C'est situé dans le vieux quartier, circulation difficile en voiture. A pied, ça grimpe !

The location is great and there is an excellent view of the Ohrid-lake. The best thing about this place is however the owner/host who lives in the same house. He is very friendly and social which made our stay even more pleasant.

Short break lake ohrid

Overall the Grebnos Stonehouse is good. It is not your typical hotel. You have a room with private bathroom and use of the owners kitchen. The room was nice and clean with a quirky bathroom built of stone. The balcony has nice views across lake Ohrid and has table/chairs/ loungers and parasol. Grebnos is located on a hill, the shopping and restaurants are a short walk down a steep stone lined path. This would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Lake Ohrid is very nice. There are lots of very reasonably priced restaurants who serve good food. I would recommend lake Ohrid for a short break and the Grebnos accommodation for those looking for a clean and reasonably priced place to stay. The owners are very helpful and can arrange taxi transfer from the airport.
