The private onsen were phenomenal. The onsen in the room was also amazing. The main clerk made sure to explain everything he could about the room, the baths, and the entirety of the building. Breakfast was also amazing, a large spread of what I hope is a traditional Japanese breakfast.

I think alot of the review calling this place old are just wrong this place is excellent if you want to do the hells tour and go around bath hopping . It has a traditional feel to it and the staff where helpful and the half board the food and way it was displayed was often the best part of the night.

Amazing ryokan

I had great time with wonderful hardworking staffs here. They are all taking their jobs seriously, and hospitality services were beyond professional expectations. Onsens and bath options are so many that i got to enjoy several different onsens within this facility. Dinner and breakfast were extremely luxurious that i cant believe how relatively cheap to enjoy! Location may be hard to access from beppu station, but if you ask staff to reserve van taxi for large party members a day in advance, no big deal (2050 yen from beppu station to this ryokan, but we all gave extra 1000 yen for tips for great taxi service drivers).

Enjoy a genuine Japanese experience!

This part of our Japanese trip was terrific in all its aspects. We had a bit of drive, and a late lunch was the first thing on the agenda. We were directed to several nearby restaurants to choose where to go. Our luggage was secured. When we returned and checked in, the customer service was exceptional. We were shown all the facilities, and the owner demonstrated how to use them. I was surprised we had to nominate our mealtimes, but I later understood why. We pre-booked dinner, and it was superb. It included hot and cold dishes and was very filling. The quality of the meal was second to none. After dinner, we enjoyed an onsen that was included in our accommodation. I loved it - the privacy and the experience. The bedding on the floor which for someone who was cramping badly overnight - it proved difficult for me to escape the pain. However, that was a distraction rather than any fault with the facility in the scheme of things. Breakfast was equally good. Overall, this was a fabulous stay, and the hosts were typical of the Japanese, very polite and accommodating. When the next day, we visited many of the sites in Beppu, and we were grateful that we took the opportunity to visit the town and this hotel.

Entrance of Hotel looks like a out of bisiness in few month. Better have garden work and clean. I don't use this hotel again .

It is a nice place and the staff are excellent, breakfast was great and the onsen baths on site are nice as well. However the room we were given smelled strongly of smoke (I'm not sure if the app booked us in a smoking room or if the hotel did) and it was generally a little more run down than we would have liked. The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. The bath area in the room could definitely use some fixing/cleaning up. Also the location is not convenient for downtown Beppu - it is convenient if you are visiting the hells, however.

It was okay. Good to have private bath but don’t go there in the evening. There are mosquitoes at night time. My husband got 4 bites and I got 3. There wasn’t a massage chair as shown on their websites. Not much of accommodations. No face mask nor hair treatments. Only body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Kind of disappointed. Most onsens I been to have lots of beauty supplies that you can try. The tatami is comfortable and the food is definitely good. We just didn’t like the mackerel.

온천이 각방마다 딸려있어서 너무 좋았어요. 커텐이 적어 아침에 강제기상하긴 했는데 아침밥 먹을 시간이라 저는 상관 없었지만 동행이 아침잠이 좀 많아 불평을 했네요ㅋㅋ 저녁도 포함해 묵었는데 메뉴도 훌륭하고 좋았어요ㅎㅎ 다음번엔 가족들이랑 그룹으로 오고 싶어요. 호텔 직원분들이 진짜 너무 다 친절하셨고 그래서 기억에 많이 남아요! 강추해요.

만족스러운 온천 료칸

석식과 조식 모두 제공되는 료칸을 찾다가 예약했습니다. 방 안에 온천욕탕도 있지만 사용하지 않고 대욕탕과 가족탕 사용했습니다. 만실이었지만 욕탕들이 붐비지 않아 쾌적하게 사용했습니다. 물이 좋았어요. 석식, 조식 모두 입맛에 맞았습니다. 석식 중에 요리와 술 추가하여 먹었는데 가격 괜찮았습니다. 근처에 편의점, 드럭스토어, 슈퍼, 맥도날드 있습니다. 지옥온천들은 도보로 15~20분 걸립니다. 직원분들 모두 친절했고 만족스러운 숙박이었어요.

좋은 료칸 하나 알아냈습니다

여기 가이세키 와 조식이 정말 맛있어요 거기다가 야외 가족 온천탕과 개인 가족온천탕 둘다 있어서 좋습니다 버스정류장도 바로 앞에있고, 가격도 적당해서 다음에 또 가볼생각 입니다 석식때 일하는 한국인 직원이 있어서 한국 여행객들이 체크인 할때 편해요 지인에게 꼭 추천해주고 싶네요
