「Great property. Great hostess. Our family of 7 fit just fine. Nice views. Nice deck/porch areas. It’s about 10min to the Plaza in Taos and about 20min to Sipapu ski area, so the location was good for us. Winter weather was not a problem for access in our 2WD van (though, it does have snow tires). Kitchen was sufficient for cooking suppers at night. You can hear the rush of the nearby stream. Definitely a property to book again in the future.」

「Go to bed at sunset, get up at sunrise. No noisy alarms, rest in your sleeping bag on top of the mattress, build a fire in the old cast-iron stove if needed, wave at your neighbor, but leave them alone. 「We had a wonderful stay in Penasco. The cottage is cute, cozy, and has everything you need for a visit of any length. The kitchen is well stocked as are the bathrooms and laundry. Internet is fast if you need to do some work or school. Easy drive to Sipapu and hiking trails; Santa Fe and other attractions are about an hour or so away, but the drive is very scenic. Highly recommended!」

「It’s a pretty isolated property. Lots of peace and serenity. The kids did dogs and s’mores after building a campfire. If you have a Tesla this probably isn’t the best place. Taos does not have a supercharger and the closest one is in Sante Fe. Actually I would stay away from Taos all together if you have a Tesla. 「We had a lovely time. It was our second time staying here. The first week we showed my nephew what we love about Taos, the next 3 weeks we worked remotely. The house is perfectly situated for views and wildlife (birds, hawks, an owl, a coyote were all seen). Highly recommend.」
