  • Step into seaside relaxation at this charming 3-bedroom, 1-bath beachfront apartment in Old Lyme, CT, located in the heart of the sought-after Hawk’s Nest Beach community. This updated summer retreat offers ocean views, a private lounge area, and easy beach access just down the road. To reach the beach, simply turn right out of the driveway onto West End Drive, continue toward the Garvin Store and tennis courts, then turn right onto Hawk’s Nest Beach Road—the beach awaits at the end of the road.

    Enjoy days filled with swimming, kayaking, and beachcombing, or take advantage of nearby boating opportunities and scenic hiking trails. Inside, unwind in a bright and airy space featuring a Smart TV, a well-equipped kitchen with a Keurig, and comfortable sleeping arrangements with two queen beds and a twin bunk. Outside, soak up the sun on the private patio, rinse off in the outdoor shower, or explore the coastline by bike.

    It's a short drive to nearby Niantic, Mystic, Stonington and Old Saybrook. An easy escape from New York City with direct train service from Grand Central right to Old Saybrook.

Girls trip weekend

Overall, my girlfriends and I had a good stay at this accommodation. Transparently, there were some hiccups in communication between the property manager and I in the week leading up to our trip that were not clearly stated in the home's description prior to us booking our stay, however, I felt that they were able to address my concerns and came up with solutions that felt satisfactory to my group and I. The property manager was overall understanding and receptive to my feedback through our conversations. For our group of 10 who cooked for the majority of our trip, we felt that there could have been more essentials like toilet paper, cleaning supplies drinkware/silverware given our group size but if you are coming with a smaller group it should be fine. The location itself was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the quaintness of the neighborhood for our weekend getaway.

Not as listed

upon arrival to the house, they did not give us clear information as to which floor we were staying on. They gave us the information for both the first floor and the second floor without telling us which floor was ours. Then after checking in, we asked for the Wi-Fi password and had some other questions to which they did not respond or answer ever. At the end of our stay, they contacted Verbo directly and tried to charge me an additional 730. Safe to say I will never be booking with them again.
