"The room was excellent, clean, comfortable with appealing decor. There was an outdoor area with the room with seating. We kept the sliding door open all night as there was a screen door. There is a path with steps that lead down to Lake Michigan. Ours was a quick overnight stop so we didn’t get down to the lake. We couldn’t see the lake from the room as the building is in the middle of a forest. "

(Meagan great job at facilitating the rental management process, Adam thanks for the suggestions and help over the week) Everything you need for an exceptional "Caribbean of the North" experience is at your finger tips. Boat owners this is the one for you, your watercraft will be 10 steps away in a covered boat house on calm water. I can't stress enough about how convenient this was for our family, NO stress of waiting your turn, battling wind, putting cover on/off ...etc. Just jump in and go!Location, you are in the heart of the Torch lake experience...world renowned sand bar is across the street and 10 minutes away by your boat that is out the back door. You'll have two reserved parking spots and a convenient place down the road to park your boat trailer. Ok, lastly... I mentioned the renovation, it goes above and beyond expectations. The 2 bedroom 1 bath works well for 6 people, just have to remind the teenagers to respect others with the bathroom time!!! Let's be honest you don't go to Torch Lake to hangout inside, right. So, back to discussing the outside spaces. The boat house, "priceless" if you love being on the water. The owners also have pontoons for rent if you don't have your own. The rooftop deck was one our favorite hangout spots, we ate, drank and played cards up there at the covered bar area. If you like being outside and want your boat in the water this one is for you!"

"Cool place"

"It was wonderful. We were there for a family function not far away, so we were not there for the entire day. Also, keep in mind when you look at my review, I knew before-hand that there was no central air and that we shared (2) bathrooms with others on our floor (3rd floor). Our stay was during August that had 90+ degree days. We had a window air conditioner and a fan in our room that was more than adequate to cool our room in a short amount of time. We would turn off the air conditioner when we left for the day and when we returned, it would take about 10 minutes to cool the room. Due to the fact that they had 2 bathrooms available, there was only one time (in the morning) that I had to wait, no more than 10 minutes, to use the bathroom. The beach is so nice. Lots of beach chairs there to use.Children played and swam while we watched. There is a raft not very far out that they played on. A teatherball set and the firepits made the beach area complete. Up at the hotel, they had many chairs and porch rockers on the outside porch that faced the lake. Inside, they also have a "game room" with, as I remembered, a shuffle board table, pool, pingpong and fooseball. I think that there may also have had board games available. What a great area for non-video family fun. We had a beautiful stay and plan on returning next year."

"The property is beautiful right on the golf course and lake. It was lovely walking through the neighborhood to get to town. The room was delightful and so cozy. The beds were so comfortable! The chocolate chip cookies and treats on the bedside were a huge hit. My daughter loved the snack bar and breakfast. Thank you!"

"We had a great stay. Much more peaceful than staying right in Traverse City on 31. Aerie was delicious. Renovated rooms were very nice. "

"We had the best family vacation at Jeff’s place. There were 6 adults and 5 kids with plenty to do for all ages! The paddle boards and kayaks were a big hit and the large game room. The water is shallow and clear right off the dock which was perfect for our kids! The sunsets were amazing! We hope to come back again! "
