Really special place. Will definitely stay here again if we are passing through! Wonderful to have a full restaurant with great drink options on premises of a motel-style accommodation.

We only stayed on night at Fred’s Inn - we were enroute to Cooperstown - so this location was near enough to get us to Cooperstown bright and early the next day. The room was spacious and comfortable - so don’t let the vintage decor fool you.

We have been coming here for over 10 years and it has seen better days. The staff were really nice and friendly during our stay. Some reviews say that it has gone downhill since the new ownership, which I guess I could see. We loved Fred's Sunday breakfast buffet and were looking forward to it since it was still on the website but were disappointed when we came in Sunday morning to an empty restaurant. We were told that they haven't had it in over 4 months and it was too expensive to keep it going. I wish the website was updated, it wouldn't have deterred us from booking but it would have been less of a let down. The area is really good for hiking and visiting the local museums. The rates for the room were good and we enjoyed our stay. It's also nice to go grab a drink and have dinner with the room in walking distance. I think from just speaking to people around lots of things are suffering in the area because of the economy and I really do wish Fred's and the rest of the businesses in the area recover. We will be back. Thanks Fred's

I was very pleased with my stay at Fred's Inn. Our room was clean, quite, and cozy. There was plenty of parking. The food was delicious. The staff at the bar / restaurant were friendly and helpful (we checked in and out with the bartender). This place is truly a hidden gem.

We stayed for 1 night as we were driving through, there was plenty of parking available, we arrived at night the area felt safe. The bed was soooo comfortable! We are bed snobs and typically only like Hilton beds, this had a bed with the comfort level of Hilton. We would definitely stay again!

Restaurant was okay. Took a while to get service. The room wasn’t as clean as I would expect. Hair on the sink. Toilet wasn’t clean. Mini fridge temp control was broken. Jacuzzi jets weren’t clean. Poor lighting in the room.
