Great location

We loved our stay at Tidewater. Just a couple of suggestions. 1) would be nice to have at least one hair dryer in the unit. 2) TV in guest bedroom worked VERY sporadically. Would highly recommend Tidwater 802.

Amazing condo

This condo was perfect for our family! It has all the amenities you need with a private walk to the beach which is absolutely stunning. I have to say this is by far my favorite beach! What a little piece of heaven!

Nice place to stay.

The bed in master was not comfortable at all. The master bathroom needs a new shower head. Other than those two things it was a great place to stay. It's an older building but clean and a great location.

Total Beautiful Relaxation

I instantly walked to the balcony to see the veiw. Some wont understan this but this is where I spent most my time relaxing and enjoying the ocean sounds and veiw. Next I noticed how clean it was. It was everything I needed and was looking forward to. I'm in my 60's and do childcare. So this was so appreciated.

Great place to stay easy access to the beach

This is our 2nd time to stay at Tidewater. Both times the elevator stop working when it was time to check out. Caused a lot of issues for everyone. The sliding glass door in the master bedroom didn’t work. Over all we had a wonderful time.

Wish they would have told me to bring extra garbage bags and toilet paper. No blow dryer as well. Had to go buy one. Overall good place to stay.

Overall pleased

Unit was clean. Kitchen was not as well stocked as other Tidewater units we have rented in the past, but it worked. This unit was more spacious than others which made for a more enjoyable stay. The shower in the master bath leaks onto the floor, and one of the master bath faucets leaks onto the counter. There was a large church group (160 youth) staying on the property while we were there. This was less than ideal when they returned at the same time and wanted to use the only two elevators, but they were polite. It was just crowded at the pool and common areas at times. Overall, our stay was good and we would return.

Mostly ok

First, the tv wasn’t working when we checked in. The programming was off. I called and they told me they would send someone up. They never did. Luckily, I was able to get it fixed myself. Second, the main bathroom had no hot water in the shower, so it was unusable. This was a major problem as there were four of us. The bathroom room shower leaked and was very difficult to get the water set and turned off. Other than those issues, our stay was fantastic!

The kitchen was not as stocked as others I’ve rented. The couch is worn out - covered it with a sheet. Concerning that the sliding door in bedroom would not open because of safety. Notified management who said maintenance would come but never did. Bedrooms require 2 forms of egress.Overall has the basics, good location with wonderful view.

Pros and Cons

Pros: The beach is clean and has beautiful white sand. The view from the balcony is also great. The Condo was clean and is convenient to restaurants, shopping, and activities. The management company (Liquid Life) was very courteous, responsive, professional and the check-in process was easy and convenient. Cons: The Tidewater building is an older resort and the Condo is a little dated. A good renovation is in order. The guest bathroom shower did not have hot water and was unusable. The master bathroom shower head needs to be replaced. Both these items had been mentioned in previous reviews and we were disappointed that they had not been addressed upon our arrival. The master bathroom tub drains very slowly and water would back up 6 to 8 inches while taking a shower. This is probably due to sand build-up over the course of time.

Quick trip

We arrived at our property a little early. Tried to call to check in. We left messages and got no call back. Check in time was supposed to be 3:00. We did not get our door code until 3:43. It says the condo has internet. I sent a message on our first day for the password, and I never heard back from them throughout my trip. The condo was clean and just like the pictures. We enjoyed our trip, just wish the check in process and owner communication were better.

Great location - condo just ok

Condo location is great and the building is well maintained. However, the unit advertises a king bed in the master. It is not a king. Mattresses in both bedrooms were very uncomfortable. Sheets were fine (although bed was not well made), but the comforter and shams in the master were dingy (one sham is very yellowed compared to the other). There are ZERO rugs in the condo. So absolutely nothing to wipe your feet on - meaning you’re tracking sand in with you and have to wear house shoes or something while in the condo. The living room couch is fine, but the chairs are uncomfortable and there’s only a small glass coffee table. It’s just not conducive to propping your feet up and relaxing. Kitchen has pretty much everything you need as far as basics, but it’s definitely no frills.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the unit was large it was missing most of the niceties you would expect for the price. A black out shade for the bedroom window on the walk way (bright light just outside the window), and NO rugs anywhere (unheard of at a beach condo, are you kidding me?) Other wise the unit was clean, and the decor was fairly nice although the living room furniture could stand an update. The bathtub in the master drains extremely slow, and so does the sink in the hall bath. Those are two maintenance items that should be fixed prior to next guests. It had lots of closet space and full size washer & dryer in a utility room. The bedding was nice, but the mattresses are just not comfortable. There is a funky odor to the property that should also be checked out? Mildew possibly. This would be a great unit for a young family on a shoe string budget.

Orange Beach girls trip

I seemed the floor had not been swept or vacuumed. The master bathroom shower had no water pressure and standing ankle deep water when showering. We never saw the pool cleaned except when someone came to fix the bricks that fell off the side. Not my favorite.
