Room is very nice & location is perfect for enjoying old town Orange. The hotel management went out of their way to accommodate our early arrival so we could attend a wedding. Definitely will be back!
Staff was excellent. It was a solo trip for me and needed a safe welcoming place that was in walking distance to my venue.
Close to town for food. They helped me out with questions where to find things. I felt like they really cared. Will stay there again.
The Richland is perfectly located near the Circle with all its shops and restaurants - no car needed. The lounge and bar at The Richland is superb! No need to go far for food and drink. It’s also located blocks from a very large park for walking/running.
The Richland is a lovely historic hotel with loads of charm but modern conveniences! The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed, the bath was large with a huge double shower. Just around the corner are delightful shops and restaurants in historic Old Towne. I will return!
My recent stay at The Richland was fantastic. The staff was not only exceptionally nice, but had an enthusiasm about their work that is rare. Their passion for the history of Orange is apparent, and they share that exuberance with their guests. Katherine in the front office made us feel comfortably at home, and Derek at the bar showed off his mixology skills with pride.
My only two suggestions (not complaints):
I love that Phil Brigandi's book, "A Brief History of Orange" is in each room. It would be great to have it available for purchase. I realize you aren't booksellers, but the history of The Plaza district is entwined with the history of The Richland, and I can imagine that guests would love to have an informative souvenir of their stay.
It would be nice to have an eco friendly recycle bin in the room. Otherwise, the room was lovely, comfortable and well appointed with fine architectural detail.
Nice job, everyone. The Richland will be our place to stay when visiting the city of Orange in the future!
Amazing property. We stayed in the cottage, it was perfect! We were staying there in preparation for our son’s wedding and we had more than enough room to do hair and makeup and store all the wedding props.
The hotel itself is great but it is also a venue and they had events Friday and Saturday night. They warned us and supplied earplugs, but the hotel is small and it was very difficult to drown out the noise.
Visiting our daughter at Chapman University, wanted to be able to walk to campus, as well as, all the great shops and restaurants in Old Orange. Hotel is brand new and has a great vibe. Wish there were more rooms as this place will always be sold out once discovered.
