“The room was very nice and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the TV was larger than at most hotels. Plenty of channels for all of us, adults and kids. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed assistance with wifi. One of the staff members came to my room to help within minutes. The location is great. There is an Aldi grocery store within four minutes and many food options available within a five minute drive. The only complaint I have is that the carpets could use a good cleaning.……

“We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.”

“This is a resort like hotel where big tour groups stay. Overall we were pleased with the location and comfort. There were minor things that were not working such as treadmills and some ice machines but as a whole we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Specifically their continental breakfast is more than that. Their location is in walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. What Expedia doesn’t tell you is that there are about $30 per day……

“Hotels like this one damages the hospitality industry in the USA. I should be renovated completely. Phones were not working and most of the buttons on the key pad were missing, roaches under the sink in the bathroom, night stands did not have handles or were missing screws, tv remote could only turn on tv and only provided on channel to watch, . I couldnt take a shower after my wife showered because only hot water was coming. So I came back home after one whole day at the hotel. No breakfast,……

“Parking was spacious. All the Yorktown attractions were very close. The staff were attentive .”

“Staff was friendly (when they were at the desk) but hotel and rooms were extremely too hot. The smell of chlorine in the pool was overpowering and not enjoyable to guests to the point it was burning our eyes as soon as you walk near the door. The hot tub was murky green and smelled of fish. AC was not working properly our entire stay and we even left right before midnight of our last night there as we were so uncomfortable. We were going to try and change rooms but when we went to the desk each……

“Clean accommodations and friendly staff”

“The worst hotel experience of my life! I was scheduled to stay June 4-7. I will spare you the long list of complaints. I will just tell you this- I woke up at 1 am on 6/7 to use the bathroom, light came on and there were ROACHES everywhere. immediately went to pack up and found several in my bed and in the drawers. No one at the front desk, to talk to. Loaded up my car, dropped keys off and left. Had to drive two hours to get home in the middle of the night! NEVER again.”

“The area was ok. Check in and check out was fast and smooth. Rooms could've been cleaner. Bed and pillows uncomfortable, but we just needed to sleep and booked here. Parking was great, basically right at each door. No breakfast, but close to some restaurants. ”
