Grandma’s backyard has the best host! I am so appreciative of the kindness and compassion the host gave to us.The home is very cozy, warm, and very comfortable.I’d give her 20 stars out of 10!I recommend this host and her home.
This home is perfectly located for so many activities. The backyard is magnificent. The home was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need.
This house has plenty of space to gather with our family. We enjoyed the trails right next to the property. We found everything we needed for cooking and outdoor barbecue!
We had a nice stay at this quiet, clean home. Loved the "retro" feel. It literally feels like you have stepped back in time to your grandmother's home. The house had everything we needed.
My family and I stayed in this house and it was perfect for our group. There was more than enough room for everyone and multiple bathrooms is always a plus. We were able to enjoy the backyard and patio (when the weather cooperated) and the kitchen was roomy. The view from the living room was beautiful as the house is at the top of a hill but easy to get to. The owner was great at responding to our questions and check-in and check-out was super easy. We would definitely stay here again!
Myself along with my husband and 5 adult children stayed at Grandma's House. There was plenty of space and everyone had their own bed. We celebrated my son's upcoming wedding with 45 family and friends in the beautiful yard. There was plenty of room and the pictures turned out wonderfully with all of the green in the background.
Spacious and clean. All the amenities. Bountiful hot water for after a day on the slopes (Sundance has Alpine and Nordic). Great market (Harmons) close by. If you need a firm bed, the best option is the queen downstairs. Don't miss the stained glass exhibit ("Roots of Knowledge") at Utah Valley University.
Wow! Step back in time to visiting your favorite Grandma. You would swear she is going to step out of the kitchen at any moment with a warm batch of homemade cookies! The house is not only fully stocked with anything you could possibly need, but also the love and memories of family is palpable! Grandma’s house is a very special place. You will feel loved staying there! Highly recommend!
Conveniently located in Orem, UT less than 3 miles off I-15, this property delivers a great value and it has a good view of the valley. The house was built in the 70s, has been well-maintained, and still has the original decor. This is truly like going to stay with your grandparents. You will find all the amenities you need and then some. Gracious host available at anytime should you have a question or concern.
Close to Main St and State St with lots of stores and restaurants. Highly recommended.
Your property felt as if we were at home the minute we walked in. It is just as it says, that we step back in time. It was fantastic. We were all raised in the 70's, so nostalgic and so fun. Thank you for the care and keeping of your home. It shows such character.
We will rent again, as it was wonderful. Thank you Tauni
This home is just like stepping back in time and arriving at your grandmas home. Especially if your grandma was stylish and loving and wonderful. The location is ideal tucked into the mountain side. The decor is perfectly preserved and is awe inspiring. The home is equipped with all the essentials. Access is a breeze. We are a group of adults and the spaciousness of the home allowed everyone privacy and entertainment space without disturbing others. I will book this home again and again on my future visits to Orem. It is Fantastic!
Tauni was so incredible. We had to find a last minute place to stay while our son awaited transport for a surgery. This house has everything you could ever think of needing. It is so beautiful and the yard was perfect for our 20 month old daughter who hates being indoors. It was such a short drive to the hospital and there was a grocery store right down the street which made our life so much easier. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything, so you don't have to worry about anything when cooking. The home is so unique and right out of the 70's it was an incredible experience during quite a difficult time for us.
Step back into time in this 70s era house where you have everything you need. Large spaces, comfortable mattresses, ample lounging areas and beautiful, private backyard. The only drawbacks were the upholstered furniture has seen better days, and the only way to enter the house was via stairs, either interior or exterior. That could be difficult for older or disabled visitors or babies in strollers.
We were a party of six adults visiting for a mother's memorial service. We hosted a large family get together after the service for a number of relatives we had not been able to visit for over a year - so nice to have the room to accommodate everyone.
Thank you, Tauni, for your hospitality and comfortable home with plenty of space to stretch out and catch up.
This property was awesome! It was very clean and well-stocked with all the essentials such as dishes, silverware, some spices, soap, laundry detergent and Dish TV and free WiFi! It was very roomy, with lots of space to have friends and family over for the evening. There were touches of home with a fully decorated Christmas tree, and various Christmas decorations in various parts of the home. My granddaughter and husband had a great time playing in the snow in the big back yard. Being from Hawaii, building snowmen and playing in the snow was a new and fun experience. If there was anything I needed or if I had any questions, a text to Tauni brought almost instant results. We also liked that we had to take off our shoes as we do at our own home, so the floors and carpets were spotless! (Almost forgot to mention that Tauni's family shoveled the driveway.) We really enjoyed our stay at this unit. Thank you, Tauni and family.

Beautiful home, so welcoming
I can't believe how nice this place is. Its the house you wanted your grandma to have when the whole family came home for Thanksgiving. The 2 bedroom upstairs/2 downstairs split is really nice. The bathrooms are nice. Towels and blankets are everywhere. There are multiple family/living room spaces and multiple dining areas. The house manages to be huge and cozy at the same time. The view from the front windows was amazing. You can see so many mountains at the same time!
There is really easy access to some nice hiking trails just a few hundred feet down from the front door. We saw families of deer several times as they made their way across the neighborhood. The house backs up to a hill, so the back yard doesn't have any neighbors. It felt nicely secluded, even if the flocks of quail were watching intently as they nestled into in the bushes.
The owners are really easy to work with and very responsive to messages. We had a great time and will stay here again.
Tauni’s place is a great and loving tribute to “grandma.” Staying there was like revisiting the mid 20th century! The home is very well-maintained and very clean.
For our family of 8, the best part was there was room for little ones and teens to spread out and have plenty of space for online “zoom” school; internet connection worked great, too.
The yard is grassy and gorgeous and my kids ran all around playing tag and croquet. The home is on a hill, so from the windows and porch are beautiful views of Utah Lake and the breathtaking mountain range. The neighborhood is quiet and only a short walk to the Dairy Queen (kids loved that). We are runners, too, so the neighborhood was easy to navigate for a quick “get out and take a run” opportunity. Shopping and freeway access is close and easy.
Hostess Tauni was kind and wonderful to communicate with; she stocked the home with all the supplies and extra blankets, towels, dishes, etc that we needed. We visited for a weekend wedding event, and we were able to host a few cousins for an after-dinner reunion for a few hours and had plenty of seating.
Wonderful stay and we know “grandma” would definitely be pleased to see so many people enjoying her peaceful home.
This house worked perfect for our holiday stay. we were able to host Thanksgiving there for my family. There was plenty of room and the house was so comfortable. We had a small issue with the tv. satellite working but Tauni got on the problem and fixed it right away. The house is totally stocked with everything you need. We spent Thanksgiving there and it seriously brought back memories of Thanksgiving when I was a child. It is a great place to stay. Thanks.
I came to Provo for work (5 days) and brought my mother (64yrs) and my daughter (1.5). I chose Grandma’s place because of the enclosed backyard, but we fell in love with it for tons of reasons. It is an absolute time capsule straight out of 70’s with fun items that will constantly make you say, “I remember these!” The wallpaper is to die for, and every inch of the place is well taken care of. When you check out, grandma expects you to strip the bedding and sweep the kitchen floor, but grandma knows best, so we didn’t mind. Just don’t try any funny business because the host lives next door. Grandma loves you and wants what’s best for you. <3
We very much enjoyed our stay at this ranch style brick home with four adults and three children, which was clean, roomy, centrally located and the most completely stocked kitchen of any rental house we have ever rented. Nice to have a downstairs for the younger family, and my husband and I stayed upstairs. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed was on hand, including a huge selection of spices. I thought it was charming that the original furnishings, pictures and decor were left in place and it felt like you were indeed visiting a family member. AC worked beautifully, which helped in the very hot weather. Only disappointment was that just before we checked in I learned wifi was only available in the master bedroom, as I thought it was throughout the whole house. Lovely well landscaped backyard was a plus for our family Olympics, grilling and sitting out in the cool evening breeze. It was nice to have a pack and play for our toddler grandchild. We enjoyed the croquet set and classic board games, plus chess and vintage books, including well loved cookbooks. Thanks for providing sharp knives! Large TV worked well and helped with downtime when kids were tired. We enjoyed live music with the piano. Because there was plenty of seating between the kitchen, living room and patio, we were able to host our other local children and grandchildren for some lunch and dinner meals, games and visiting. Though I know it is a common practice for rental homes and is not unique to this property, I do think it is poor form that after we paid a hefty cleaning fee, we were also asked to strip bed beds, take all sheets and towels up to laundry room, start a load of laundry, empty trash throughout the house and start up the dishwasher. Not a happy experience when we were rushing to catch a morning plane. I am also not a fan of the other fees tacked on by VRBO. Host was very attentive and communicated quickly and thoroughly answered every question posed. We appreciated the generous cancellation policy, especially this year, but were grateful not to have had to use it. Everything was wonderful! This worked out very well for our needs and I would recommend the property to others needing a base in Orem. We would stay here again.
While the home was older, it was in good shape, clean, and very comfortable. There was a facilities issue while we were there, and the owner handled it superbly. She was awesome.
