Lovely hotel with professional and friendly staff. Nice to see young teens working. Exquisite dining and great breakfast with additional cost of $22/pp but well worth it.
Nicely updated hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Convinced like snowshoes and cross country skis available.
Room is clean, outdoor hot tub fun to use. Sauna available in indoor pool area.
The Restaurant was closed and the kerig coffee awful. The fireplace room was cozy and great view of Orford. Front staff very helpful.
Bring your own coffee maker and coffee, cream etc long walk or drive to get takeout in the am.

Outside spa way too small with a lot of young kids. Breakfast way too expensive for what they offer . Within 5 minutes drive you could find nice small restos for a nice affordable breakfast.
Very clean, quiet and spacious room; comfortable beds; very safe place and area; breakfast had great options for vegetarians. Overall, would recommend it to my friends and will stay again myself.
Room was clean and spacious. Lights we too dark and there was no light for the kitchenette area which made preparing anything very difficult. I would add a proper table to the room that you can sit at with at least two proper chairs. We didn't need an office chair.
The room was clean, our room was on the first floor and had a lake view with a walk out back door to the open area and beautiful view, the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but still good. Over all we enjoyed our stay.
We just stayed one night there on our road trip to Edward Prince, Ontario. The bed was so comfortable not like others were too soft. And you can't beat the price around the area. We also paid for the all you can eat breakfast before checking out next day.
The hotel was a little outdated but everything was still fine. We didnt go in any of the pools or hot tubs, but the outdoor hot tub by a fire seemed really nice. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Beautiful area. Exterior of property, balconies etc. need a some care and attention. Loose deck-boards and railings. But overall a nice hotel, with excellent views of Mont Orford from the front of the property. Pub Chalet 2.0 is walkable and a friendly, fun experience - good beer & food

Liked: Staff & service
We didn’t eat at the hotel. Tried to have breakfast but it was under staffed. The room was pretty dated and in need of renovation. I will say I thought it was a great value for the price paid. I would most likely pay more to stay somewhere different if we return to the area. The staff was excellent.
The property is very nice. It is quiet at night. It is less than 10 minute drive to Magog with many dining options. It is also less than 10 minutes to Orford national park where you can hike and kayak. It has a small lake where you can use the kayaks and canoes for free. The equipment is a little old, but plenty fine given it is free. There is also a hot tub and pool.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Our family loved the natural environment and beautiful, green surroundings aroundthe hotel.
Magog is a quiet, beautiful town and hotel is conveniently located.
The hotel has spacious indoor spaces, rooms are ok. but maintenance has lagged behind, especially in shared areas, carpets are not clean. The towels are old and not looking/feeling fresh. Could use some improvement in these areas.
The mattress in the sofabed room 330 is only spring impossible to sleep on. Need to be change to a futon or ... I could nt sleep at all. The main bed was good. So the room is ok for a couple and not to sleep 3 or more person !!! When i told the 2 gentleman at the counter i got a total silence. No so sorry mam you couldnt sleep...
The hotel itself was good. My room was great. I had a room with a fireplace and they provided a log- so that was really nice. I especially chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi- so I was really looking forward to that. The jacuzzi and pool area were really nice. The problem arose when a group of children came to the pool area. Apparently every weekend, this hotel takes in hockey groups- which they don’t mention anywhere before booking. Once I checked in for the room, then they sent me an email with this message: “Please note that the hotel occupancy during the weekends is mainly from groups and hockey teams. It means noisier and more clients using our facilities. So, complaints are not accepted.”
So the jacuzzi area, which has a sign stating that it’s a quiet area outside, was loud- very loud, with a bunch of kids playing and yelling. No adults around and I wasn’t allowed to complain since they said so “after” I booked. That should be mentioned before people book- no after. Not everyone is interested in hearing screaming children. I have a child too- I took a weekend getaway for myself and expected to get a bit of peace and quiet for a day. So that was an expected disappointment.
