Our family especially enjoyed the elk herds surrounding the property. The farmhouse is charming and well-equipped. It was a nice place to stay while we adventured in the surrounding redwoods.

We loved our stay here (2 adults and 5 children). It was perfectly located near great hikes, we had incredible views in the mornings of mountains, trees, cows, and wild elk. The kitchen was large, clean, and well stocked. Would highly recommend this to others and would for sure book this same place again.

The farmhouse was a wonderful experience , so cute and cozy. We enjoyed the cows and elks. We never did make it out to the pond. It was well stocked with everything you need. Can't wait to go back.

The house was exactly as described, a 1940s farmhouse. The kids loved the game room and it is very close to hiking. The nearest real markets or restaurants are in Trinidad, about a 30 minute drive.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the vintage farmhouse. We found that the house had all that we needed and more. It was conveniently close to several great redwoods hiking trails and we also enjoyed some beach time on the Pacific. There was a huge herd of wild elk that visited the property and we loved watching them from the porch. Fresh ranch eggs and a well appointed coffee bar were a special treat for breakfast in the morning. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The Redwood House was perfectly situated minutes away from all of our top hiking trailheads. The house was charming and clean with modern appliances. A herd of elk graced us with their presence every day, adding to the beauty and peacefulness of the ranch. The hosts even had fresh eggs waiting for us in the fridge. The kids had fun playing in the game room. We would highly recommend this stay!

Probably the best rental property we’ve ever stayed at. Clean, well-equipped, comfortable, quiet, and entertaining for our kids! They loved the game room, picking blackberries, and catching tree frogs. Elk out in the field every evening, fresh farm eggs in the fridge, and great family-friendly redwood hikes within a 10-minute drive or less…heavenly.

The home is quiet in the middle of a set of farm fields that double as elk grazing grounds. It rests between the north and south redwood national park areas and a five minute drive from one of the beach sections.
We had one issue pop up but everyone was responsive and helpful.

We loved our stay in the redwood house! Upon arrival we were greeted with the most beautiful elk right in the backyard! The house was clean and the wood burning fireplace was our favorite! We were able to have a fire every morning and night. The game garage was a fun bonus. Our family had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again!

Loved the house, peacefulness of location and the visits from the elk at night and early morning.
Me and son made a whole night with a tournament of the game room equipment.

Loved this place. Takes me back to old family farm grandparents had. There were elk everyday and the cows came right up to the fence. The kids loved the game room and spent hours in there. Weather there was beautiful everyday in the middle of summer and the beach/red woods were so close. One of my favorite VRBO’s to date.

Our family of 4 stayed for a week at Redwood Farmhouse and were so sad to leave. We chose this spot because we wanted to explore the beaches and Redwoods in the area. It was perfect--a happy spot to return to after day trips. Super clean, comfortable, and such beautiful surroundings. We packed a picnic lunch each day for our outings and returned for dinner at the house (even enjoyed it outside one evening!). It is secluded and quiet and surrounded by wildlife.
The game room was a bonus for fun play in the evenings!
If we lived closer, we would visit more often. A wonderful place to enjoy the magic of the Redwoods and all that the natural world has to offer!

A very welcoming, charming, and comfortable house close to Redwoods and the beach. We stayed here two nights and found it everything we'd hoped. It was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. We loved being a bit away from town. Very quiet. The elk are majestic and fun to watch. The kitchen is nicely outfitted, complete with coffee and a nice selection of spices to cook with. We loved having our breakfast at the table with a view of the meadow, elk, and trees. The game room in the garage has a nice selection of fun games - we liked the ax throwing. The location makes it a 2 minute drive to the beach for the sunset or to visit the Redwood visitor center. Heading in the other direction there are numerous hikes and Prairie Creek state park. We would definitely come back for another stay.

If you want to disconnect, experience nature, and relax, this is the place for you. You are staying on a farm so you're surrounded by fields that contain cattle. There are also beautiful elk that are constantly in the vicinity (right outside your doorstep). The home is quaint and simple and has everything that you need. The home is a great launching point for all outings in the area - hikes, beach, fishing, etc. Our family of 4 (two kids - 11 and 13) greatly enjoyed our stay here.

The house was pretty spacious for the three of us. We were surrounded by fences that kept the cows outside, and the elk were near the house most days. It was also nicely furnished, including all sorts of things for the kitchen, detergent for the laundry, and the beds and other furniture were very comfortable. The outside was beautiful, and we were in the perfect place to explore the many parts of the redwood parks and attractions around us.
