“Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended. We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was scrummy. Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊”

“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

“Generally very good. One night stay for a car show at Carmarthen Showground. Parking - access i stight to some spaces but plenty to chose from. Check-in - good, friendly, polite an dquite quick. Entry to room - this let the stay down, the room had not been cleaned from previous guests, check-in staff very concerned and helpful, asked to wait in the bar whilst room was prepared and free round of drinks due to issue. Room - comfortable but needs a little attention e.g. with toilet lid up you……

“Food is excellent and beds are very comfy. It's old-fashioned in that it's a conversion of an older building, so windows are single-glazed and the doors open with actual keys. But the rooms have everything you'd expect from a professionally run establishment. Staff are all friendly and professional though you sometimes have to seek them out – hardly surprising as there are only six rooms so they can't have someone permanently on duty.”
