“Absolutely spotless and very well maintained!!!Bed not overly to our liking, just a little hard, but some people may like that, just not me unfortunately.”

“We really enjoyed our stay and so did our pet Labrador. It’s a short walk to the beach which is a dog friendly beach so that’s a plus point. Close to essential shops for groceries or takeaway. Overall I would recommend this place and we hope to be back again.”

“We had 5 adults in our party and we found the house very suitable to our needs. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location near the shops was a bonus. The communication with the owners was also very good.”

“Our retreat here was beyond a pleasant experience! the hosts were kind enough to leave us farm fresh eggs from some lovely ladies you are welcomed to feed kitchen scraps. (no onion), they also supplied us with bacon, muesli and bread from berry’s local bakery, and more! due to us poorly planning it was raining whilst we were there— however we didn’t let that taint our time on the beautiful five acres of land! we lit the preset fireplace and burned through their kindling. “Before our arrival the gas hob was replaced with an induction cooktop. Unfortunately the host had not provided the pots and pans that were compatible with the new cooktop. The pots and pans that were available were not in good order as well as being incompatible with the cooktop. Not being able to cook our meals meant that we had the unexpected express of getting takeaway food. However, the house was comfortable and conveniently located near the beach and lake.”

“Beautiful beach views. But access to the beach is not easy down a steep slope. The house was very clean but the decor is dated and the lack of a dishwasher is unacceptable as surely common place in a family home. The entrance to the property from the street is dangerous as the gate has to be manually opened while the car is still in the way of traffic. On our last day we were awoken at 7am by heavy duty construction next door which went on all day. The host said he was unaware of construction……

“Unfortunately we were disappointed with several aspects of our stay here, especially for the amount we paid. I will email the host to give them a chance to fix up the issues rather than post them here. We won’t book this house again though.”
