Family vacation

The house was nice but it needs a deep cleaning is not very well maintained the pool was very dirty water was very murky call to report it told me some one was coming out next day I stay 3 days no one ever showed never stay there again.

Hot upstairs

Property was clean and well maintained but the. upstairs bedrooms were hot. Beware, NO ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms upstairs. I was told thermostat was locked at 74 degrees upstairs and could not be changed. No offer to provide oscillating fans to help. Everyone had to come downstairs to sleep through the night. Lot of stuffy noses. Yes, I did report concerns to the owners with the above response. I only recommend property if everyone is comfortable with 74 degree setting upstairs.

Wouldn’t stay again

Check in process for this property was great. We rented it for 10 days, Monday-Thursday. First 5 days of the stay we had to call multiple times a day for not having pool heat that we paid for. Finally was fixed after “they sent out” multiple different people to “try” to fix the problem. Finally Friday mid morning we got pool heat after a simple fix that no one else noticed. Property itself was okay. Air hockey table didn’t work so my kids couldn’t utilize that. Pool table only had one pool stick that worked, others were broke when we got there. Master bedroom upstairs shower head didn’t work great. Had to double shower time to make sure hair was fully rinsed and no soap in it. Then I was taking a towel off the master bathroom upstairs to shower the first night and a live cockroach fell out of it. Then doing laundry was switching my laundry from washer to dryer and another LIVE cockroach came out of the washer. There were 4 adults and 5 children and all four of us adults would not recommend this property to anyone. If I could get all of not most of my money back I would be happier.

Not so much a paradise.

We came to Florida for a small vacation and enjoy a wedding, but ended up staying in a place that had issues and was managed by a company that does not value customer support/care to those renting one of their places. First issue that we ran into was with the AC not functioning. When we arrived the house was warm and unfortunately there is no thermostat in the house(managed remotely) to see what the temp is. Second issue that we ran into was this place was dusty. Ceiling fans had about 6-12 months worth of dust, blinds were caked with dust (could run your finger across and see the difference. Third issue was the lack of urgency to get these issues resolved. AC took two days to get resolved and dust took three days to (not fully) clean. The initial communication with Florida Vacation Homes was going well and then mid day Saturday they stopped and we had to chase them for a response. There were other items that we mentioned to make sure they were noted (cracked tile, black mold in the bathrooms, handrail coming out of the wall, damaged molding, etc) at the beginning of our time there. There is NO way I’d recommend renting from Florida Vacation Homes again due to the lack of communication and run around we received. Total lack of concern/care for their customers is appalling. Stay away.
