Absolutely loved the house and very well kept and stocked we needed nothing but food! The house is very private we will be returning again in the near future.
This house and property are absolutely beautiful. The lake is right out the back door. Property is clean and well kept, house was clean and welcoming. Wish we would have stayed longer.
The house is large, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. An acre or more of neatly mowed lawn surrounds the house and slopes down to the shore of the lake. The deck provides a spectacular view of the lake and mountains beyond. Between the house and the road is a large cherry orchard, which is pleasant to see and makes the location quiet and peaceful.
The house was listed accurately but we found the property to be better than it was described. The lawn down by the water was where most of our day was spent. We had games set up down below, on the south yard, and even on the two yard areas up top. It was so easy to live outside pretty much the whole time. Also, the working orchard was so great to be around. Workers came to prune and mow and we got to see a small part of how it all works. We loved this place!
Overall, we loved our stay at this house. The house and property are beautiful, very clean and well maintained. You couldn't ask for a better view. I woke up early every morning just to watch the sunrise over the lake.
A couple of things I wish we were told prior to our stay:
1. Pesticide spraying of the cherry trees occurred during our stay. We were able to tolerate it okay but as a health care provider, I know that people can be extremely sensitive to pesticides and I think that is something that needs to be mentioned to people prior to booking.
2. The neighbors have an electric fence. We had two dogs with us and mine was sniffing next to the neighbors property and got zapped. She was so scared she took off running and we thought we had lost her. Yes, she was off leash but she normally has excellent recall. So if guests are willing to pay the extra fee of $150 per dog to have them on the property, they need to be warned about the electric fence.
Again, we did have a fabulous time and I would definitely stay there again, but the above mentioned information should be communicated to guests prior to staying at the house.
The Linger Longer Home is beautiful and peaceful. Staying there is a real breakaway vacation.
The house and property are great and the pictures are accurate. The house is kept in very good condition and the beds are super comfortable. The house and area is quiet and I was able to look out at the lake and the stars from my room. The owner was very friendly and shared a lot about the orchard work and the art of growing a variety of fruit. The house and deck are very spacious and the deck is great to relax on and enjoy the beautiful lake scenes and the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the surrounding area as well and found many fun hikes and drives. Everything worked and the house is well provisioned. We enjoyed many of the games that were provided. This is wonderful rental and I highly recommend it and the owners are just super, however, the property management company was very negative. The contract that I was required to sign after I had already signed with VRBO and was committed to staying was very regressive, one-sided and had a lot of untrue or excessively negative language. In many places it directly conflicted with the VRBO description (which was accurate). Additionally new restrictions were added, such as only 2 cars were allowed when the VRBO said up to 5. There was plenty of room for 5 cars, although we only needed 2, I wondered why the contract and the follow-on email of new additional restrictions (post VRBO and post contract signing!) were all so different. The treatment in the contract was very negative and everything started from the viewpoint that renters were never to be trusted in any way. I know that a large part of this is how our lawyers have influenced things, but to say that we will be fined $500 if a items are not put back into the original spot (per item) is really negative. Additionally, I had to agree to have any case heard in King County when the house was in Okanogan County and we live in Okanogan County, the owners live in Okanogan County, and the property management office is in Okanogan County. Why would I want an expensive Seattle attorney handling a local matter? I have many more examples of negative and conflicting language in the contract and conflicting follow-on document, but I want to end on a positive note - The house is great, the property is great, the notes left by the owners and the family were very friendly, and in spite of the property management "contract" I would still recommend this property for your family vacation!

A very clean, simple and relaxing place to enjoy the water. This is a working orchard (wish the description mentioned that). There will be people coming by on occasion to work the orchard depending on the time of year. The people were very nice and welcoming. And they shared some of the best nectarines and apples we’ve ever tasted.

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was unreal, we felt so fortunate to spend a few restorative days on their property. Views are breathtaking !!
From the moment we turned of Highway 97 (about a mile from the Canadian border), we knew that we were about to experience someplace special. This lakeside home, nestled in a cherry orchard, felt very comfortable, quiet and private. If you need quartz counter tops, designer appliances and sheets, keep searching. But if you want to enjoy the beauty & solitude that three generations of farmers have created. Then this the lakefront home will be a perfect fit. Our time of relaxing in the lake or shade, fit our needs to a tee. We look forward to our next visit and we may end up “lingering a little longer”.
I try and get away from the noise a few times a year and let me tell you! I stumbled across this paradise of a property. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. My family will definitely be back!!!
Such a wonderful location, feels isolated but still close to Oroville if you need anything. Very comfortable and homey feel put us right at ease. Hanging out on the beautiful lawn, swimming and great views. We all needed a break and we couldn't have found a better location.

This is a lovely home with very comfortable beds
This is a lovely home with very comfortable beds, and plenty of space indoor and out to enjoy the lovely views across Lake Osoyoos.
There's bocce, cornhole and lots of grass for tossing balls to your dog. There's a farmstand down the road and a great grocery store in town.
The owners encouraged us to pick nectarines and brought us some apples on our last day.
I highly recommend this as an ideal family vacation rental. Remember to bring beach shoes for the pebbly beach bottom.
