Facilities in this hotel are really great. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed Onsen a lot ! Each table in the restaurant has high partitions (like a box). I understand it might be good for families or privacy but it didn’t have good atmosphere.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We also had a wonderful view of the mountains. The onsen was nice. The dinner and breakfast leaned more towards Japanese food. More variety would have been nice. Overall, a very nice facility.
We had a fantastic time staying here! The staff were all very nice and helpful, the rooms were gorgeous, and the food was fantastic. The private onsen baths which don't require a reservation are a great option for people with tattoos and mixed-gender groups/couples. They were also always available even though thw hotel was fully booked during our stay. I would definitely come here again.
We had an amazing time and used this as two days of relaxing in the middle of our 1.5 minth trip. It was our first time at an onsen (we are Canadian) and it was a great introduction as there was both private and public onsens. The view was incredible, of the mountains and valley and we got to sit in a private outdoors onsen while watching a lighting storm. Truely magical. The staff was amazing and very accomodating. They were friendly and helpful and we communicated well through translator apps. Would go again!
This is a good hot springs hotel in naruko onsen.
From the station they come to pick up,
With good dinner and super breakfast buffet.
The last day we take 8:30 bus , they also arrange to sent us to station. The breakfast start from7:30, you can image how quick we need to eat. they arrange a table near the food area, so we have more time to take breakfast, I deeply appreciated such warm service*****
Location - there is a pick up service from jr nakuro onsen station. You need to notify the hotel in advance for the pick up service.
Staff- they are very nice. I got off at the wrong jr station. The next train will be an hour later but the hotel staff was already at the station waiting for me. I was very lucky to get some assistance from a local gentleman. He called the hotel and the hotel staff drive to my station and picked me up.
I also asked the reception about the transport to naruko valley. The staff helped me check the transport arrangements. I was very lucky to ask the staff coz the google map info was wrong.
Room - very spacious. You have all the amenities. The onsen is great.
Fining - dinner and breakfast were just great. I was offered a lot of delicious local ingredients.
It is a very good valued for money onsen hotel. I will def come back if I go to nakuro onsen again.

Really great staff. Nice room with a beautiful view. Very nice baths. Wonderful service. Shuttle service was great. English speaking staff.
Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay with half board, it felt really pampering and luxurious and excellent value for money. My Japanese style room was enormous and very comfortable. Having the onsen baths just a few floors down meant that I could enjoy it in just a few moments from leaving my room. I particularly loved the outdoor pool set into the forested cliffside, especially when it is lit up at night. There are lots of little touches like the free popsicles outside the bath area, and the free refreshments in the lounge overlooking the garden. I tried two of the four private baths, easily gaining access as the hotel seemed fairly quiet when I was there. The breakfast buffet was enormous, mostly Japanese style but so much choice. Dining is in your own private cubicle within the dining hall. The half board multi-course dinner was complete luxury, every course was gorgeous and delicious (although the attendant had to explain to me how to eat a few of the dishes). There is a surprising amount of English: on many of the signs and information notices around the hotel, and various staff could speak at least some English. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. It's a fairly new hotel so everything seems in good condition and very clean. It's quite a steep hike up to the hotel but luckily the hotel shuttle will meet your train, or drop you off for departure at the train or at the highway bus to Sendai.
