Lovely setting, plentiful breakfast w lots of choice (no rotten or mouldy food while I was there, to address earlier reviews).
Staff are very helpful and the grounds are beautiful.
It’s not central, but is good value. Easy access to public transportation.
Kitchen is clean and well equipped and breakfast meal service is good.
The property is located in a beautiful area right outside of Oslo. It’s clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have an amazing kitchen that has all the equipment and space you need. The rooms are clean as are all the facilities and the laundry is affordable and works!
I found this property very clean and reasonably comfortable. They had a laundry room which was very handy and a comprehensive buffet breakfast. It was a quiet area and quite away from the city centre, which is an expensive taxi ride too and from. There are local buses and trams which may get you near, if you can work out how to find and interpret the stops etc.
It was perfect stay for young girls. I went with my friend. Safety is also really good and the hostel is located in a hill area. It has such nice view. So so beautiful. The room was very clean and they gave us new and clean bed linens and towels. The bathroom has everything, you just have to bring the toothbrush and toothpaste. They got the soap for you as well. We had the breakfast in the morning and it was so good as well. The shared kitchen is equipped with everything. You have to take the bus or a tram to get in there from the central station but it's worth it. If you buy the 24hrs ticket pass you can travel using tram or bus. And you can use the pass to go around the city. It's a superb place to stay. Very safe, very beautiful, very clean. The staff was very polite as well.
Quiet neighbourhood place but well linked to the center by public transport. Ok hostel breakfast. Nice staff.

Pros: The hostel is located in a nice, green area. Flybussen goes near, and there is a shopping mall within 1.5 km. The room was surprisingly nice and big, heated floor in the bathroom.
Cons: location on top of a hill is not the best for travelers. The breakfast was very basic. The condition of the hostel buildings would need improving.
My brother and I are backpacking through Europe and we stayed here for 1 night. It was out favorite spot we’ve stayed. Staff were very pleasant and the rooms were very clean. Temperature was nice and they gave us a room to our selves. The breakfast was also a nice addition, nothing over the top fancy but most places like this don’t even do that! If you’re just backpacking through, highly recommend!
It was a great to stay. What you expect from a hostel, with free lunch, you can't complain either. But it is near a main road which you can hear throughout the night and out of town. However, that isn't the hostels fault and public transport in Oslo is brilliant.

The room was a good size and clean. The bathroom and shower were easily accessible, just outside the room. There was a laundry which was really helpful. The property is 15-20mins out of the city but there is an easy train or tram down the hill.
I had a nice stay In Oslo. The area is very wide, so there's lot of room. The common area are a bit out of the way and not very inviting. That's pretty much my only complaint.
Great hostel for what it’s worth. Breakfast was included by default, which included a series of breads, meats, and some vegetables and drinks. There is no AC so it can get a bit warm in the summer, and the community bathroom got dirty easily due to a leak in the sink. Otherwise, it was great. Linens and towels were included by default and check in even at 1am was good; the receptionist on the phone instructed me where to go. It’s about a 10 walk down the hill to a tram or bus station, the latter of which has direct lines to/from airport (nearly 1 hour).
The location was somehow inconvenient for me. I knew it was outside the city center and I was prepared for using public transport for nearly anything, but still it felt a bit complicated. Besides that, the hostel staff has been very friendly and helpful, for what I would like to thank them! Breakfast service could be improved, also regarding the service hours. An early daparture on a Sunday may leave you wothout breakfast, as it starts at 7.30h (weekdays from 7.00h). Overall, an ok stay. Not more, but also not less;)
Actually almost every common place was pretty cleaned and well maintaned.
Reseptionts are extremely kind (I experienced very polite service and saw how they gently treat other guests).
Hotel has separate luggage room, sparated bath- and toilet-rooms, chiling zone equiped with coaches and pillows. A lot of wooden boards, chairs and even el-scooters (available for rent y city apps) stays outside.
Tip: check availbility here via different apps and you can of the chepest price for overnighting in Oslo.
Some guests don't care about their used bedding, people leave a room leaving garbage and some stuff inside. Ppl dont care about silence, so you can experience door slaming in the room, but ofc it depends.
Nothing critical.
Seems like it would be helpful to put a list of the rules on a door in the room og maybe reception staff can remind.
We did stay for 4 days and had really good stay at Haraldsheim. Easy to travel from airport (RE trains are much cheaper than Flytrain!) with regional train 25 minutes + from city center tram (number 17 Sinsen) 18 minutes and from Sinsenkrysset tram stop you see the big white building on top of the hill. Nice shared kitchen with a lot space and all kitchen tools that needed (only minus are the people who are too lazy clean up their mess...). Room was clean and simple, good mattress and also small sink in the room. Clean and working shared shower and toilets. And the best thing ever is the staff! Every day we did have such a 5 star smiles, service and help with everything. This is your place if you look for simple stay, you want cook your meals and save money and you like to meet international travelers. It is good to know that there is a lot other people, big groups and young people - it can be a bit noisy but the rooms actually are quite silent and with earl plugs, no problems with sleeping. And the breakfast was nice (included with price) with good coffee, boiled eggs, porridge, fruits, bread etc. By downloading the Ruter app you can buy tickets to public transport (buss, tram, metro) and see routes (we did get week card, it was cheaper than single tickets). Thank you Haraldsheim staff!
Beautiful stay, good breakfast and super helpful receptionists!! Cleanliness and services were perfect! Location is the only setback as you almost have to climb a mini mountain to get to the hostel but once you’re up, it’s worth it all! Overall stay was great!
