The room was clean, the pool area was lovely. But of advice, if you are fussy with pillows, take your own! Theirs were as flat as pancakes! We booked a canal view but didnt get one. The hotel wouldnt do anything the next morning as we hadnt said anything the previous night. I explained it was dark! My issue was, we booked and paid extra for a canal view and they knew we hadnt had one..so surely they should see that as their mistake. The pool area was really nice and relaxing, cant fault it. The communal toilets could have done with a good clean! All in all a nice stay

Clean room, lovely staff, spa was very busy but peak time, evening meal in Waterside restaurant was lovely and service excellent. Only reason I marked down on the stars was we couldn’t get 4g or WiFi and the water was off at the spa for 90 mins so couldn’t shower there. I had a treatment whilst I stayed excellent and would definitely book that again.

Checked out throughout the night, too hot, bathroom fan did not stop and kept going being quite loud. Due to this left as we couldn't sleep so missed out on the spa and breakfast.

The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The shower was excellent, and really appreciated the heated towel rack. We also had a pleasant experience at the bar, and the breakfast was very good—especially as they were able to accommodate my gluten-free requirements. The only downside was that the corridors felt a bit outdated, and noise carried quite easily. We could hear activity from both the hallway and the neighbouring room.

When we arrived we booked a table in the restaurant for 7.45, we checked in to our room and it was filthy, carpet was dirty and full of stains, skirting boards hadn’t seen a cloth for a long time, room was cold as the heating controls were not working, we asked for a portable heater but Wes told none on site, bathroom was very tired and in desperate need of a re furb, we arrived at the restaurant for 7.45 as booked only to be told that it wasn’t 7.45 but 8.30 the booking had been made for. When we returned back to the room we were so cold we had to get under the bed cover with our clothes on, really not happy I called reception to complain and within 10 minutes a portable heater arrived and we also requested an additional duvet which we had. This is our second visit at this hotel but unfortunately will not be staying again and will not be recommending it either. This hotel in my opinion should have no more than a two star rating and certainly not the four star that it advertise.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed the indoor pool, which was a great bonus. In the evening, we dined at the waterfront restaurant opposite the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great blackout blinds and an exceptionally comfy bed that ensured a perfect night’s sleep. We woke refreshed and enjoyed the included buffet breakfast, which offered a wide variety of tasty food and drinks. Overall, we had a brilliant experience and would happily return again in the future. Highly recommended!

A great stay, great facilities, the room was comfortable but looking a little tired. The restaurant was very good. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Highly overpriced especially with only swimming pool access to the spa, rooms really need updating and general maintenance. Simple additions like slow closing doors so they don't slam and soundproofing the noise from adjacent rooms, as they are very easy to hear. A good clean too there were marks on the walls, kettle and hair in the bath.

After seeing the online pictures, we couldnt wait to come and stay, but what a disapointment. The place looked nothing like the pictures online. The spa was dirty, hot tub....I couldnt even see my feet the water was so dirty, over half of the jets did not work and there were limited bubbles. The plaster was peeling off the roof, some light fittings were falling out of the holes in the roof. Information about the spa and resort is online and not very user friendly. We had food in the resort restraunt, very dissapointing, cutlery and glasses were dirty. The quality was poor and the table was sticky and dirty. Breakfast the next day was not much better. Everythong was self service and not much assistance from staff. The grounds and pathways around the resort were worn and shabby looking. The room was clean overall, although we did find blood stains on the patio door on the outside and railings of patio were rusty. Decore of hotel is dated and musty smelling. Staff at reception had no uniform and did not look or act professionally. Very dissapointed and would not recommend and would not stay againt.

Hi firstly going into winter driving into the property there is not much lighting with early nights. I initially parked hy the gym, unloaded my bags and went into gym thinking it was the hotel. I thought just me being daft but there qere at least four others i saw do this also. I would say the dining and drink options were satisfactory but would not say the service or staff was more than that. The food was enjoyable. However as a table of 1 to be charged a service charge of £5 on my bill did not sit well with me when the service i received was ok at best. What is the encluragement for the team yo go above and beyond and provide great service if theyve already got a service charge from me. Yes i know it states discretionary on the bill, however as im sure your aware most will not ask for it to be removed. For me it is the principal of it.
