"Beautiful location, clean comfortable room, great food and friendly and welcoming staff"

"I had a great stay at Haka. The staff were very helpful, my room was good and everything was very clean. It was also in a great location and walkable to everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"Very good location clean and comfortable room. "

"Pretty location, definitely would benefit from frequent cleanings."

"Good stay, staff and location "

"8 bed dorm was really spacious. Loved the curtains, really made it feel cosy and cocoonlike. Comfy duvet and pillow and CLEAN. Super warm too, really felt like a home away from home. The staff, especially Martin, was really helpful. Would stay again when I’m back in Dunedin."

"I had a great private room that was away from the noisy backpacker dorms, and clean and well maintained. The common spaces are fine, and the location is superb. I would definitely stay there again."

"Great place to stay would recommend great value "

"Very outdated, the vibe from the whole place made me sleep with the light on as there was something very eerie about the place, the communal bathrooms were pretty bad, no soap, no one had cleaned the entire time I was there, razors left behind in shower put me off, and hardly any lighting in there once it goes dark. Curtains had mould on them and pillows were dirty, one window permanently open in my room so there was a breeze but overall a cheap room"

"I loved the historic building, right in the old precinct. Homely, comfortable & great kitchen, lounge, bathrooms. Supermarket & shops all very close. Staff are helpful & friendly. A "home away from home"."
