Stayed at Swiss Hotel Ottawa and it was a surprisingly frustrating experience. What started as a normal stay quickly turned uncomfortable due to poor communication and questionable handling of a situation that didn’t warrant escalation. Instead of resolving things professionally, the response felt abrupt and unnecessary, leaving a bad impression overall. Not the kind of hospitality you expect when booking a place to relax. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a smooth, hassle-free stay

The accommodation itself was fine although old, but the smell inside was unbearable resembling that of urine. The surrounding streets are unfortunately lined with homeless which made me very uncomfortable walking.

An amazing and kind human being who runs the swiss and the barefoot. the room was extremely clean and tidy and the bed was super comfortable. Shower was lovely and whole house was homey and beautiful to stay in. Felt very comfortable, relaxed, well taken care of, and rejuvenated the whole stay. Thank you so much.

My stay at Barefoot Inn was wonderful! You check in at the Swiss hotel next door and the owner, Sabina was so wonderful! We have the same name so that was 😊! She is so friendly and lovely!! Barefoot Inn was really nice to stay in for two nights. It was clean, warm, colorful and inviting. Bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillows were really nice and very clean. Room was stocked with towels as was the bathroom. Kitchen has everything you'd need, cups, plates, coffee, tea, there is a TV in the living room downstairs. it's walking distance to many of the Embassies in Ottawa so if you are coming to do any kind of consular business like passport renewal it's perfect. I also walked to the Parliament hill, then over the Alexandra bridge to Gatineau,QC. So it's at a great location. All in all, a lovely place to stay in!
