This little cabin was so cute and cozy. It was a very unique property that was perfect for my husband and I. Overall very clean and tidy. Great location!!! Would love to stay here again.

Cool cabin!

Quintessential little log cabin with big bonus area upstairs! We loved this place…it was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences. The location simply cannot be beat! And who’d expect to have wonderful frrebie travel size AVEDA products?!? The only change I would make is to Have a larger couch upstairs so you can hang out more comfortably.

Rustic meets modern Cabin

2 adult couples had a wonderful stay. The cabin is loaded with charm and personality. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean and organized. The location is exceptional. Only an easy block and a half walking distance to Main Street. If you want cozy, clean, charming, with a small side of Colorado cool, this is your place!

Great stay at the Seldom Inn

My family stayed here with our two Frenchies. We loved the quirkiness of the wavy floors and the leaning wall in the bedroom. It is restored really well & makes great use of space for something that was built in the 1870’s‼️We loved walking to Main Street & to the hot springs. We even walked to the Box Canyon Falls. It is a little small in the living room area but the upstairs living area helps a lot. Would stay again‼️

Don't pass this up!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quaint, quirky, historic and perfect would describe the Seldom Inn. This place was perfect for our quick stay in town. Within walking distance from Main street and Box Canyon, you're in a great location to basically everything while still being on the edge of town. The main hot springs pool is a quick walk down river as well. We enjoyed the beautiful porch with outstanding views and the nearby river. Inside and out was beautifully decorated and cared for. Perfect for a couple or small family or group.. the loft was a wonderful addition and would be super fun for a tween/teen. The cabin had plenty of towels and extra linens, plus a well stocked kitchen if you wish to bring in groceries and cook in home. If you enjoy quirky cabins with history this is your place! So happy we found this gem, thank you for hosting us, we can't wait to be back!

Reviewer Comments: This home is in a great location that's mostly mostly quiet, but it's a historic building that's been added onto several times and is therefore a bit odd. The ladder to the loft is very steep and not easy to get up and down, and the ceiling is very low in spots. The kitchen has some nice updates. If you like character, this place definitely has it. The rental agency is very nice and responsive.

Amazing week in Ouray

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the Seldom Inn the week of July 4th. The historic cabin was perfect and Ouray and the surrounding area is paradise! We loved the July 4th parades though no fireworks due to the 416 fire. Great food, our favorite was Maggie's! We hiked the perimeter trail, Box Canyon and Cascade Falls. Toured Yankee Boy Basin with Switzerland Jeep Tours. The flowers were beautiful. Seldom Inn has great views and is private yet you can walk anywhere in town. The hot springs was so relaxing too! We visit every summer and will definitely return next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great little cottage with everything we needed for an easy stay in Ouray. Walking distance to town and removed from any noise. Old word charm inside with modern kitchen. Stairs very steep and narrow to loft - not recommended for small kids. Ours were 10yo at time and it was fine. They loved their own space upstairs. Ouray mineral springs and the ice climbing were the highlights for us and if you get a good day drive over to Silverton for the views and pack a picnic lunch.

Seldom Inn Cabin

We had a fun experience staying at the cabin. The location is great as far as being able to walk to town for shopping and dining. The cabin is small, but fit the four of us and our dog fine. However, there is no yard or fenced area for your pet, so a leashed walk is required frequently. The upstairs loft was great for my teens, but the steps to it are steep and the railings up there are not safe for small children in my opinion. The beds are super comfortable and we always got nice hot showers. The laundry room is down another flight of stairs which require you to go outside and down. I would recommend a laundry basket be provided to help get laundry down. Overall, we would stay again. The communication with property management is top notch! Ouray is absolutely beautiful!

Positives Close to town- easy walk Historic property built in 1879 Dog friendly, but no place for the dog to be off leash such as a back yard Very clean and well stocked with dishes and glassware on arrival Negatives Accessibility - Stairs are more of a ladder than stairs. The four of us are all in our mid to late sixties and it was a challenge to go up or down the stairs safely. If you are taller than 6’ you need to duck to avoid hitting your head on the ceiling at the back of the master bedroom. The ceilings and floors are not level and the walls are not square, but I understand the homes bones are a rustic cabin. It’s Impossible to sit on the main level toilet without hitting your legs on the vanity, or sitting at an angle. Only one vehicle allowed to park in the driveway, and the nearby offsite parking was full of construction vehicles and trailers for off road vehicles. I have never stayed at a VRBO where you are expected to wash your towels and dishes, and take out the trash when you leave. I expect that to be part of the cleaning fee. NO smoking anywhere on the property, not even outside on the deck. My cousin had to walk out to the fairly busy dirt road in front of the cabin to smoke his cigar. Odor similar to a decaying animal in main level strongest near the bathroom and bedroom, this was mentioned in several earlier reviews so it obviously has not been addressed. For what I spent for two nights stay I was very disappointed.

Overpriced. Mildew and urine odors in Master BR. No windows with screens for ventilation in Master. Needs many updates. Difficult stairs to 2nd level. Not pet friendly ( no secure outdoor area for dogs). Not tranquil or serene as advertised. A busy road directly in front and sits on a busy intersection. Washer/dryer only accessed via separate door outside an outer stairwell.

Great view of Amphitheater

We enjoyed staying here! The house is cute and quirky. I felt like I was in Ron Weasley’s house on Harry Potter! It was a quick walk to town to all of our favorite shops/restaurants. I would stay here again!

Two nights in Ouray

Perfect little cottage right on the edge of downtown Ouray. Can walk to multiple restaurants and you have perfect access to the Ouray Perimeter hiking trail. We had a wonderful stay with our pup. Would highly recommend.
