Everything was fantastic, 10 out of 10. The Shalet was spotless, it had a lovely wood fire and an electric heater. The rooms were all done in wood panelling, there was kitchen and laundry facilities and the spa bath was a lovely extra touch. Despite the rainy weather, we were very cosy and warm.

We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away.
