The hotel is right at the harbour, with fantastic views. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen has everything. Very good value for money. The gas fireplace is a great bonus. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Sunrise right from your window, or go outside and see fishermen already there an hour before sunrise. I wish they cleaned the windows.

The location was excellent as was the suite layout. There was a need for some mai tenancy I. The suite….a few scuffs and scratches here and there that I wouldn’t have expected.

I would appreciate better cleanliness. There were some spiders in our room. Otherwise the stay was decent. There is a weird smell when you enter the rooms (like when you enter old places). Maybe something can be done about that.

The location was nice with a view of the water. The pull out couch unfortunately had stained sheets and the beds sheets had a very strong smell of bleach - which I guess meant they were clean at least! The bathroom was clean but not very updated with a stained toilet and the fan was very loud. The carpet was very stained. Otherwise the room was spacious and it was nice to have a full kitchen. Could use an overall update.

My parents are members here and have been coming up for 20+ years. We stay for a week every year at the end of the summer. This year was the first time that we had to book an additional room because of the size of our group. This place definitely needs a more modern update. I feel it could be so much more busier for such a hidden gem. I love that you can walk downtown Thornbury in minutes. We will keep coming back!

Royal Harbour is a fantastic location in a cute town and all rooms face the water. It is ‘cottage-like’ in that the decor is somewhat rustic, but it has everything you need and suites are really large! We always enjoy our stays here (this was our third time) and really love the Georgian Trail for biking/walking. The staff are also excellent!

I think this hotel is a fun place to stay w kids - the pool, the location across from the pier and so close to downtown made this vacation weekend such a great good old fashioned time! Hint - bring some of your CDs from the box in the basement because my room anyways had a CD player! Lol.

Bed was clean. Property is very dated. More than a reasonable amount of chipped paint and worn out furniture, cabinets etc. Gym doesnt open till 930am. Gym equipment was rusty. Asked for late checkout because of late gym opening and was denied. I wont be staying here again.
