From the moment we walked in, there was no one at the frint desk to greet us to check us in. We stood approximately 7-8 minutes waiting on somebody. We took our grandson for a Valentine trip because he wanted to swim in an indoor pool. Once we got checked in we made our way to the indoor "heated" pool only to find a "very cold" indoor pool that was under construction. One of the lights that was suppose to be in the pool was laying poolside with red caution cones sitting next to it, with a chair on top of it. The light kept going on and going off which made us nervous, because water and electricity can be dangerous. It was advertised the facility had towels at poolside and also a sauna. There were no towels or sauna. I made my way to the front desk to get towels and reported to the staff that the pool was cold. The Staff at the front desk reported that there were no maintenance staff on weekends. They gave us complimentary breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience. We found our room to be very hot and could not get the thermostat to turn down. When it came time to go to bed, we pulled the sofa bed out for our grandson. I went to get the bedding for the bed, and found the bag torn with only a blanket in it and 2 pillow cases. My husband went to the front desk to retrieve the bedding and he was told they would deliver it to the room. We waited approximately 30 to 40 mins. The next morning, no breakfast was being served. We were handed a bag with a microwave biscuit, juice, y

Evening restaurant was closed all week. It was the main reason I booked the hotel. No reason given to why it was closed when I asked the manager/owner about it. Breakfast was order only and overpriced. I stayed 5 days/4 nights and on 3 of the mornings I had to ask for coffee because none was out in the lobby. Staff lacked customer service (on cell phone scrolling when no coffee was available at 7:30am to guest) and attention to creating an environment of convenience for the guest. Seemed like management was more concerned with saving money than providing an exceptional experience. Other factors include the gym is super small, shower did not provide any area sit my things (shelf was missing and looked to be repaired in a way they were not going to put it back), thermostat in my room did not work, bed was hard.

This hotel is Jacksonville state host hotel. We had to wait until they cleared out and rooms were cleaned. No refund offered nor discount for inconvenience.

Advertised to have a bar/restaurant where food was available. The kitchen was closed, not even any breakfast in the morning. We picked this hotel based on being able to eat dinner at the hotel. Have stayed at Hilton Garden Inn’s before (Oklahoma, etc.) and they were very nice and food was great. Also, there were parking lot lights shining in the room window all night. No way to close drapes or anything, just an opaque/see thru shade. And, to top it off, they charge $2 for a bottle of water in the room if you’re not a “diamond, gold or silver member”. Hotel staff were friendly, not their fault. Don’t stay here, save your money. We should get a refund since it was false advertising.

My first room #309 had a broken thermostat and the room was very hot and the A/C didn’t work it was 80 degrees and I was moved to another room #306 and again the A/C thermostat was broken and couldn’t cool the room to a comfortable temperature, the service technician said the room temperature was actually 74 degrees and the thermostat showed 66 degrees and it was late so I was stuck in an uncomfortable room for the night
