“This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! The hut was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable with high-quality linens and duvet/pillows. Kitchen very well-supplied with everything I needed (and more). “What a lovely place to stay! Watching the horses coming and going a bonus. Such a beautiful quirky cottage. Clean, comfy and spacious for a couple and our two dogs. The hot tub was a lovely treat after long dog walks.. Hook Norton and Swalcliffe visits a must. Pubs are so lovely and dog friendly. The land around the riding school great for the dogs too. Caroline the host very friendly a lovely lady. ”

“Was told by Expedia that I had the property to myself but when I arrived I realised I was sharing with 3 other people. Property was supposedly called ‘the cottage’ but turns out this was next door’s place. Parking was basically none existent in the end as the other people had their car(s) on the very small driveway. Only things I can say were good was that the WiFi was a decent speed considering how rural the area was, and the bed was very comfortable.”
