「Stayed at Riu Vallarta for 4 days as part of a 12 day trip in Puerto Vallarta (stayed at the Riu Jalisco for the other 8 days). Vallarta is a step up from the Jalisco in almost every way. My room was incredibly NOISY
"I was quite disappointed with my stay at the Hard Rock Hotel. The location was not ideal for exploring on foot, and to make matters worse, my room (209 on the 2nd floor) was incredibly noisy. Not only did the noise from traffic seep in through the windows, but it also infiltrated through the air ventilation system. Throughout the night, I had to endure various sources of disturbance, including the passing trains, loud trucks, live music from the bar, and an unusual machinery noise that even caused some shaking in the room's structure (possibly from machinery nearby?). It was an overall unpleasant experience, despite the visually appealing furniture and the friendly staff. "
