Ocean side Comfort

We had a relaxing time at Blue Horizons, conveniently located in Pacific Grove--a central location to explore the Monterey/Carmel area. The house had a well equipped kitchen and a spectacular view of the bay and cute otters. Highly recommend for a couple or small group/family. Enjoy!

Fantastic birthday weekend

The house was beautiful. We had everything we needed to cook our meals. The highlight of our stay was, from the comfort of the living room, watching a humpback swim by. He put on quite a show!

Perfection

We stayed for a girls weekend. There were seven of us and this house was absolute perfection. Obviously the view was the star of the weekend but location couldn’t be better. Walked everywhere, so much to do and see!

What a view!

This house was great. Right in the ocean between Lover’s Point and Otter Rock and we saw otters every day looking out the living room windows. That was our favorite thing to do, just sit and look out the windows. The kitchen was great for cooking meals. We could walk to the aquarium and into town or along the coast. A great place to stay in Monterey / Pacific Grove.

Room with a View

Six of us spent three nights at this home (our second time). There isn't a better view and the location is perfect for a walk along Monterey Bay. It's so close to so much to see and do. The house has everything you would need and is very nicely furnished - a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Some elements are a bit dated and could use some updating but other than that, I can only say that we'll be back!

Perfect view

The location and views could not have been better. The communication with the property manager was excellent. The house is well worn and dated. I think the listing should make it clear that with the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor, there is only one bathroom, and while the primary is the only bedroom upstairs, there are 2 full baths upstairs. With that being said, we had a great time. Thank you.

Great House, Perfect Location

We came as a couple to spend a few days on the Monterey coast. The house is perfectly located a few miles from Monterey and Carmel and less than an hour to Big Sur. There is a beach directly across the street. We biked, ran and toured the coastline. The house has bikes which made things easy. The house has a very well equipped, functional kitchen. We cooked every night and found it very relaxing to just be in the home. I highly recommend this home to anyone.

spacious ocean view

We loved the huge open upstairs space with unobstructed views of Monterey Bay. Kitchen worked well (needs a good grater!!). The master suite was very large and comfortable. We noted the careful instructions for all situations - very helpful. An elegant and welcoming place. One small downside - the cleaners had used too much bleach in the downstairs bath and it took a long time for the smell to clear out.

Loved the upstairs - great living room, master bedroom bathroom suite, kitchen, dining room and fabulous view of the ocean. The downstairs needs overhauling - the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms too small and house doesn’t work for 2 couples and children. Very disappointed.

Amazing stay!

This property has everything we wanted and more! The views are amazing! We saw whales, otters, dolphins and many other animals while inside looking through the massive bay window. There are small beaches within walking distance and an adorable little eatery we walked to every morning for breakfast. Highly recommend this property if you are wanting a laid back relaxing time.

Couldnt have wished for more!

The location was FANTASTIC! Right across from the bay, parks and walking trails. Restaurants were never more than 10 minutes away. Right on the doorstep to 17 Mile Drive. Lots of room for the whole family. The upstairs family room with bay windows was the gathering spot. Just a terrific rent

Ma C's Monterey Beach House

My grandsons call Blue Horizons my Monterey Beach House because they love coming here every year. The big living room windows look out on Monterey Bay and a little sandy cove is accessible from a trail across the street. The kitchen is well-appointed and large enough to accommodate 2 or 3 people working at the same time. Bring your own food and condiments, and, if you want a casserole, bring a casserole dish. A large roasting pan and other pots and pans are there, as are plates, etc. and silverware.

Wonderful Ocean Views

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this Pacific Grove Beach House. We could not have asked for a more relaxing stay. The ocean views from the home were lovely, and it was fun to watch the otters! We enjoyed daily walks along the trails, exploring the rocky beach areas. The house was beautiful and outfitted with everything we needed. The living areas were bright and spacious, and we enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and the barbecue grill. Everything was perfect, and we would stay here again!

Exceeded our high expectations

The house was in an ideal location and was perfect for a vacation, both inside and outside. The ocean walks right in front are fantastic! Watching the otters, seals and whales through the front window was a delight. The road and location were surprisingly quiet. We had local family join us for lunch and it proved to be just right for all eight of us to catch up and dine together. Bottom line, the house was ideal for the great vacation, we had been hoping for.

Wonderful view!

We watched rafts of otters cuddle their babies and sleep the day away and mimicked them by lounging by the front window. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. Note that the main living area is up a flight of stairs. My aged parents were happy to climb up the stairs for the views and happy to take the master bedrooom on the 2nd floor but left the ground floor alone except for when we left the house for walks along the shore.
