Great house to visit Mount Rainier NP

This was a beautiful home located conveniently near the entrances to Mount Rainier NP. The home is very clean and fully stocked for a comfortable stay. All of the furnishings are in excellent condition and seem very new.

Perfect for our stay.

The layout and the roominess of the house gave all of us adequate space to enjoy our stay. The location was close to Mount Rainier and gave us an opportunity to visit the park. The neighborhood is quiet we were able to do a little walking in the area on our first day of arrival. All in all we had a great stay And enjoyed ourselves at the home home imp Packwood.

The great outdoor break

We had a wonderful time during our stay and even extended an extra day. Enjoyed Mt. Rainier and White pass. The house is well equipped and clean and our evening were spent building puzzles and playing cards and enjoying our family time away from the usual business of work and school. Will definitely come back.

Great base for hiking Mt Rainier NP, Goat Rocks Wilderness & Mt St Helens

We found Elk House to be very clean, modern with a fully equipped kitchen. The location was quiet. Check-in was efficient and management responded when the AC went down during a heat dome. Unfortunately, the AC couldn't be repaired, so we tried to cool the house off at night. The beds were comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. The linens were very nice. Washer/dryer available onsite. We enjoyed our 5 night stay!

Serene place in the woods...

We greatly enjoyed our week in the Elk House, very clean, well appointed and spacious. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood in the woods, loved our evenings by the fire (s'mores!). I'd recommend a stop at the Safeway in Enumclaw on the way as the Blanton Store in Packwood has a very limited assortment. Re access to Mount Rainier NP, very important to book admission online, there's timed entry and you may not get in if you just drive up to the park entrance. We went on many great day trips (Mt St Helens) and Packwood is a great base camp. Highly recommend the Elk House!

Stay in Packwood, outside Mt. Rainer

This property sits in neighborhood of rentals outside the Mt. Rainer park. Roads were still closed into the park in late April. Restaurants are conveniently located nearby. The house itself was well stocked with everything you might want or need. There was a couple items that kept me from giving a 5 star rating. The upstairs shower leaked on the floor. We took care of it by placing towels on the floor. The other was a missing remote for the upstairs TV. When brought to management's attention, they said it would be taken care of for the next guest. A 5 star response would be for them to get us one for our stay.

From the outside it didn’t look bad but omg when you opened the door and came in we were blown away. I’ve never stayed at such a gorgeous place! Everything we could have wanted or needed was there. We held a family reunion and all my siblings and mom stayed there and it was wonderful. Thx

Holiday break

The house is larger than what the pictures shown on the website. We found the house to have good quality amenities. Its just outside of Packwood and in easy reach of White Pass, which is why we selected it for our family ski trip. The host provided a cell number to text and was responsive to all our communications. We had also asked for one or two items not listed and the host had those on site before we arrived. As it was winter we did not experience the back yard or have any contact with neighbors. Had a great time with family in an enjoyable get away home that we will consider again.
