Pairi Daiza is a big animal park, located on the site of the former Abbey of Cambron, where visitors make a trip along the 5 continents and discover more than 5,000 animals. In May 2018 Pairi Daiza received the prize for “Best animal park in Europe” at the presentation of the Diamond Theme Park Awards, also known as the Oscars of the theme parks and zoos.

Izba (изба) means in Russian: wooden house in the countryside. The Izba in Pairi Daiza is inspired by traditional Russian architecture, with its roof tiles and domes, which are also made entirely of wood! It is an immense restaurant (1.100 m² covered and a terrace of 400 m²) with a cosy atmosphere and the decoration refers to fairy tales and legends from Russian folklore.

「We had an excellent time at B&B Hotel Mons. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, the best part of the stay was the customer service. "Hotel constantly tries to upsell - get spammed with emails before arrival about add ons. Was told at reception on arrival at 1.30pm that the room was ready, but hotel policy was that I couldn’t be given the key until 3pm. Asked for luggage storage and was directed to take my suitcase down a flight of stairs and then had to pay a further fee for luggage storage. Unfriendly staff - there are better options around, so don’t bother here."
