Nice apartment, beds really comfy, pool, lovely location, 3 mins walk to stunning beach, 2 min walk to Maribu restaurant. Had a few minor issues which were sorted out very quickly.

The room was spacious and the staff were super friendly. There were a few small bugs in the room, but it wasn’t too annoying. Do note that the stay is on the other side of the island from the airport so transportation to and from can be more expensive and time consuming. However, there is a bus station very close by, as well as a restaurant, bar, and convenience store.

Perfect stay

Three nights stay and so pleased to have booked. Receptionist very welcoming, the room very comfortable and as per the description. Half board meals were delicious and plentiful and the staff were so helpful and engaging. Perfect location to walk a 5 minutes to the stunning beach. Will be revisiting again.

Could not rate this place highly enough! Perfect location and only a short walk to the beach. The price is incredible for the size of the rooms. Will definitely boom again if I return to the island!

A great hotel, lovely staff, excellent food, but certainly cater for Germans rather than Brits. No English Chanel’s on TV, and rooms not serviced everyday. Some of the instructions are not correct, but if you ask they will sort everything. Bar underneath is great, and beach within walking distance. Modern rooms but if you need a dark room to sleep it’s not for you-corridor light shines through bathroom window which keeps the whole place alight, as the bathroom door is glass!

Very nice appartment. Staff were pleasent and helpful. Although we didnt use the restaurants facilities it was very clean and welcoming. One small issue the television wascset up in German and unable to change language. But it didnt spoil our stay. The on site barcwas comfortable and very friendly.

I’ve stayed in many budget hotels like this one, but the food here is outstanding! During our 7 day stay (we even booked an extra night), the dishes never repeated once. A bottle of water for two with dinner costs just €2.50 totally worth it, because the food is amazing. Yes, the hotel isn’t new, but it’s well maintained and far from rundown. Every room has air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Cleanliness is at a very high level you see the cleaning staff every day. In fact, I even told them they could clean our room every three days because it really wasn’t necessary more often. Everyone here is so friendly from the cleaners and gardeners to the cooks, waitresses, and receptionists. I would absolutely stay here again!

Good value for money in quiet location

Had a very peaceful stay at this hotel, it is in a very quiet area but that suited us. Beautiful beach a five minute walk away via a very steep slope, not good for elderly or disabled. The hotel also has many steps which we found difficult with heavy bags. The room was clean and comfortable and regular cleaning, towel change etc. Beach towels available from reception for a small fee €2. We had half board which was ok, breakfast plenty of choice, dinner a little limited and not always to our taste. Value for money hotel if you want a quiet beach stay

Clean, basic and beautiful

This is a regular choice for accommodation in the area. The rooms are spacious enough and the apartments very clean, and cleaned regularly by excellent staff. The kitchens are a little basic and the cooking utensils lacking, but you can make a spagbowl if needed. so all good. There is a buffet restaurant on site. The pool area is lovely although the terrace area of sunbeds could be cleaned a little more regularly. Only once in a 9 day stay. But it is lovely and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff are welcoming and friendly and will do their very best to sort any issues such as fridge issues. The nearby beaches are beautiful and there is a big supermarket a 20 min walk away and a smaller one on site

DISASTOROUS AND WORRYING START TO HOLIDAY

After 1 day it was obvious that the accomodation was unsuitable for us,dispite advising the hotel that my wife had a mobility issue and requesting a ground floor apartment no mention was made of the accessibility of the resturant and the rest of the hotel and area. There were steps everywhere and nothing was on the level,the Beach was some way from the hotel and was only accessible over rough land and a continuous slope most unsuitable for my wife and I.We decided to check out and move to another Hotel in another area this action resulted in an unplaned Taxi ride costing 25 euros and forfit of 2 days holiday including 1 day additional cost to us.A DISSAPOINTING START TO UOR HOLIDAY WHICH INCURRED ADDED COST,LOST OF 2 DAYS AND UPSET . In our view there should be some recompense by hotels .com for failing to fully describe the the hotels location and all the stairs throughout the resort in their hotels description

RUIN OF HOLIDAY. Monte del Mar/Royal Palm

We have stayed at the Esquinzo Monte del Mar 5 times before. Before and on arrival, nothing was mentioned about what was to come. After 2 days they sent us to eat all meals at their other hotel 3 kms away, The Royal Palm. This was not what we wanted at all. Then they announced that there was to be drilling works in the main pool areas. There were mechanical diggers, loud drills and a gang of workmen. The worst thing was how this hotel group treated us. They refused to pay for the full loss or inconvenience we suffered. They offered no alternatives or apologies or any form of thinking of us being put in this position. We had to sort this out ourselves; We moved to another hotel at our own cost. They eventually refunded 7 nights, but not the full 10 nights. The rest of my family in 2 other apartments did not get any refund or help. They took thousands of pounds from us, ignored our loyalty over the years, and instead presented us with stress. When we decided to make an official complaint and asked for the “Hojas de Reclamaciones” form, they did not produce one. The procedure then would be to contact the local police. I tried to complain after getting home. However, this is not possible, hence my writing on social media. IMHO and from our experience, this hotel group will not worry if you have a destroyed holiday or assist you if things go wrong. They are IMHO inhuman and arrogant. Do you really want to risk that? I am still incensed about what they did to us, weeks later.

Super appartement proche de la plage à pied pour le lever de soleil. Quartier très calme, loin de l'agitation des villes. Les appartements sont un peu vieux et pourraient être rénovés un peu. Le personnel est charmant, rien à dire. Le petit déjeuner est complet. Je reste choqué par les touristes allemands qui dévalisent le petit déjeuner et emportent tout dans leur sac pour le manger plus tard... C'est un vrai manque de savoir vivre. Là supérette est pratique pour le dépannage, et le bar est accueillant.

Alles was netjes, het appartement is wat verouderd qua meubilair. Bedden heel goed. Personeel vriendelijk. Wij zaten jammer genoeg over de airconditioning wat jammer genoeg storend was. Het diner was lekker maar misschien net niet warm genoeg.
