「Apart from the great view during breakfast and the warm, enthusiastic front desk staff, this guesthouse is utterly disappointing and highly not recommended. I have never been to a place that doesn't offer eggs for breakfast. The only food available was unpalatable cakes, very hard bread, chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and some peaches that were nearly rotten. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible. You can clearly hear someone sneezing in the room on the floor below, and at around 2:00...

「The Family Affair rooms are on the second floor of a mixed use block in an older building in an established area of Palermo. Only 15 mins walk to the cathedral. We had a lovely evening in a nearby wine bar on their recommended list and then had dinner in a fish restaurant nearby. Felt like we were amongst the locals rather than the tourists in the historical centre.
Very easy to catch a bus back to the airport rather than the very expensive taxi we took on arrival. The accommodation is very...

「Palazzo Achates was perfect for us! It is in the center of old town on a quiet street and has been fully renovated with a beautiful modern minimalist design. I booked the last room available which, was described as small, but it was actually quite roomy and lovely. The owner answered all requests promptly and was wonderfully welcoming! He made us feel assured that the keycard entry to the hotel itself would work smoothly at any hour of the night, and it did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!」
