Located in a great part of Palm Springs, near the fun and action of Palm Canyon Drive yet on a quiet street, we had a fine time over the Thanksgiving holidays in this little home with it's zip and zing personality. Nicely updated, stylish, comfortable, a fine backyard outdoor area for relaxing, dining, swimming, spa-ing, BBQ-ing, relaxing in the sunny warmth of a PS winter. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms complete, and in the home was a binder full of instructions on how to best enjoy this rental property, the nearby activities, and a fine list of restaurants and eateries to help us enjoy our stay.
The photos displayed on VeRBO.com were completely accurate, they helped us tremendously in making a decision to rent this particular property. It was nicely furnished, totally clean and presentable and the home offered enough TV's and WiFi throughout to allow those who can't unplug access to their shows and their digital devices. We say knock those usual patterns off and go outside and enjoy the warmth and beauty of PS! Walk the neighborhood! Rent bikes and go for a spin! Grill up steaks and make a salad and live the California life! Heat up the spa nightly and soak away your aches and pains!
We enjoyed the home enough to ask and receive an extended stay of a few additional days. Is that a good statement about the house, or what??!?
The only drawback, disappointing but understandable: Nowadays, for health and safety - rental homes have kitchens stocked with virtually only Salt and Pepper. One should not expect to find anything else in a kitchen for preparing your own meals besides heaps of equipment, so it does limit your ability to pull together great meals in a rental kitchen if there's no oils or vinegars, seasonings, sugar, tea, mayonnaise, mustards, etc - the kinds of things you'd stock at home to help make a fine and tasty meal at home. This results in you having to be really creative if you want to do cooking in your rental AND to spend some money on carefully chosen items in the local supermarkets - or if you're fortunate to be able to drive to your rental destination, be sure to pack up the car with lots of familiar goodies you'd like to have to cook in the rental - otherwise plan on lots of take out and dining out and not using the kitchen all that much...
