The home upon arrival is nice and spacious.
One thing I was leery of was the sunken living room and the thresholds between each room, which were raised and toe-stubbing hazards.
We ended up putting a few pieces of blue tape around the edge of the sunken floor so we didn't misstep.
I would be worried if I had young kids running in the room. We're all adults, but we still were concerned we might not see the edge if we weren't really paying attention. Lol
The only disappointment was the pool. I looked for hours for a rental that had a pool and was reasonably priced.
I thought I read all of the rental agreement, but somehow missed the part that there is a daily fee to heat the pool.
We were so sad that we couldn't use the pool at all. The water was ice cold.
I know it was my fault for not catching that in the rental terms, but it was truly disappointing.
If you aren't familiar with Palm Springs and their noise restrictions, it sounds super strict.
We aren't loud people, but the warnings are dire and make it sound as though you can't even have a lively conversation in the back yard. Lol
Someone needs to tell the dog owner across the street. That dog yapped for some time, several times a day and into the evening.
Overall, it's a nice older place with some upgrades. But it's a good rental that's super close to a few neighborhood restaurants, and steps away from Safeway.
Despite the ice cold pool, the back yard is very nice with the seating areas, grill and fire pit.
