Scrupulously clean with excellent water pressure and a comfortable bed. It's quite spartan, but that likely helps with the cleanliness. The location is excellent, very central and walkable.

Lieu très charmant en plein cœur des ruelles de la Llotja-Born. Tout à proximité et climatisation dans les chambres. Et pour un prix tout à fait correcte pour Palma. Mon seul bémol, c'est que ma chambre n'avait ni rideaux, ni volets. Et comme souvent dans les hostales espagnols, les murs sont fins comme du papier à cigarette. Prévoir masque et bouchons !

Nous avons aimé le charme de cet établissement. Tout était très propre et la chambre était très spacieuse avec une belle hauteur sous plafond. Idéalement situé pour découvrir la belle ville de Majorque à pied. Le seul point négatif est le manque d'isolation phonique, nos voisins étaient très bruyants et parlaient très fort en rentrant de soirée en pleine nuit.

We did arrive early and were allowed to leave our luggage but it was not secure from other guests. A locked room would have been better as there seemed to be plenty of them. Check in was advertised at 2pm but the room still was not ready. If we had not arrived at 2.10pm then our room still would not have been done as I physically had to ask the cleaner to please hurry up! The room was very basic = bed, ceiling fan, wooden chair, sink, tiny high window and aircon. Only one shower room that we found for around 20 rooms. No other amenities, not even a vending machine for drinks or shared outsude seating area (the entry courtyard would have been ideal). Yes, it was a Hostal but this was as basic as they come. Lovely old building though. For over €100 per night, it was not the best value.

Disappointing stay

While the communal areas are attractive they're not very practical as some chairs are decorative and not to be sat on, and though the staff were fairly polite i rarely saw them. There were far more negatives than positives - my room was on the third floor and was tiny, the width of the room was not as wide as i am tall (and I'm not even very tall - not an exaggeration) and it was only twice as long as my small bed. No wardrobe, just a bed, a little desk, a sink. The whole time building works were going on in the room next door that started on average from 8.30 am until 7pm, though some days it was earlier and later. Every time anyone used a sink or shower, the pipes in my room would bang loud enough to wake me up. The nearest shower was two floors below me - only one for rooms in the double figures so a long wait every day to shower - and the nearest toilet was on a different floor to the sink so you couldn't even clean your hands after without a trip to a different floor. In the four days i was there, no-one even tried to clean my room or change my towel, and i couldnt find anyone to discuss this. It would have been fine for a budget stay, but i paid a premium price, and i felt robbed, because it wasn't worth it. When the builders were working on the room, they were in front of a window that looked into my room, that was covered in see through plastic, i could see them from bed - I did ask to change rooms but was offered an even smaller room, so i just endured it all.
