The rooms are nearly brand new and are very clean. The staff is pleasant. The only problem we had with the room was the shower drain backed up, filling the shower with water. We were offered a room change to resolve.
The hotel is right near the ocean, downtown which makes everything walkable, but if you bring a car there is little parking and traffic is very very heavy. Almost every car is a manual transmission, so if you rent a car and aren't comfortable driving a stick shift, you may struggle to navigate the streets. They do offer off-site parking for about $35 USD, but it is several blocks up the road and you can only enter from one side of the street.
Some people have complained about noise. We could hear karaoke and Street traffic, but it wasn't horribly loud and we were able to sleep just fine.
If you taxi in and don't plan to park or drive, this is an ideal location. If you are driving and are adventurous, you'll be just fine. But if you want to drive and aren't comfortable navigating a busy city, you may want to stay in a more rural area.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as there are dining options nearby that offer a greater variety for a better price, but they do offer a breakfast if you are looking for that, I believe for about $35 USD per person.
