Something truly rare in Paris, this fully air-conditioned duplex one-bed apartment opposite the cathedral of Notre-Dame consists of a living/dining room and kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower, basin and WC and separate laundry room with WC.

Imagine for a moment that you awaken on a beautiful Paris morning, taking your morning coffee and warm, buttery croissant on your very own panoramic terrace with its beautiful view over Notre-Dame and the Seine. Step outside and stroll along the river, virtually at your doorstep. Stop for a moment to admire the stunning gothic architecture of the cathedral and the renovation process. Look forward to an al fresco meal by candlelight on your terrace, anticipating the fun of shopping for your menu at the colorful local markets.

The apartment boasts a sunny split-level terrace overlooking Notre-Dame and the Seine. The building origins are 18th century. Situated on the entrance floor, the bedroom is set back from rue du Petit Pont. The upstairs living room opens onto the beautiful two-level terrace and takes full advantage of the panoramic views facing the Seine and Notre-Dame cathedral. The architectural features are elegant and well-thought out. Furnishings are comfortable - contemporary set against wooden floors and soft green walls. A pull-out sofa bed can also accommodate 2 guests.

Besides the comfort of the apartment itself you will delight in having historic Paris at your doorstep. The apartment is located on the edge of the vibrant Latin Quarter and the glorious architecture of the Ile de La Cité with the verdant tranquility of the flower market and the village atmosphere of the Ile Saint-Louis just a short walk away. This apartment was perfect for our needs and exceeded our expectations on comfort and proximity to key attractions. Host was very accommodating. Notre Dame Cathedral -steps away, the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay too. Saint Michael Metro Station, feet away. Take metro from CDG Airport! My husband worked a bit and sat at the kitchen table looking out at the cathedral. If you have to work, it’s a dream. One note! This place is on the 5th floor above the Latin Quarter. Bring ear plugs because people are having fun well into the early hours of the morning. On balance, we would stay here again!

An amazing property and a great rental experience. The photos don’t do the property justice; stunning location. The property manager was responsive and friendly, and Mrs Elizabeth met us at the apartment at check in and gave us a thorough tour and explanation of the property. The place was clean and well laid out; we appreciated the coffee and water to get us started. We spent hours perched on our balcony watching the crowds walk through the neighborhood and around Notre Dame. We were right in the middle of everything but up above it all (5th floor) and private in our quiet space. There is an elevator, and a separate laundry space that we were not expecting but thrilled to have. This was our fourth visit to Paris and we can’t recommend this location more highly- wow!!

OMGOSH!!!!! What an adorable, charming and safe little retreat away from this city even though you are in the middle of it. Yes, Paris is a loud city but we couldn’t believe how quiet it was once you closed the doors and windows. The location is perfect!!! The only advice I would say is that if you are a large person it might be hard to get up and down the spiral staircase that I found so adorable. Must stay!!! The photos don’t do it justice!!!

A gem overlooking Notre-Dame

The appartement was as charming the third time around and it was a delight to be back. Jean-Francois and Madame Joslin are perfect hosts: communication was fluid and easy and the check-in was flawless. Madame Joslin was waiting for us and had even got out of her way to get us extra Nespresso pods. The duplex is well appointed and very clean. It was perfect for the two of us yet would have been tight for four people. But again, we did not spend that much time there so it depends on what guests are looking for. The location is great, we walked all over Paris from it, but it comes with the very busy rue de la Huchette under our windows (6 floors lower). One of the famous club is very close so we recommend earplugs on the weekends. It did not take away from our enjoyment of the appartement but it is something to consider. But, overall, we cannot imagine a more Parisian abode! is

Awesome location

We arrived earlier than originally planned and communicated with this with VRBO. We were given a contact name before arrival and stayed in touch until we arrived. Aries was there to greet us and show us around the property. She was so helpful and kind. We enjoyed the area we were in so much and apartment was furnished with everything we needed. The elevator was a plus. We ended our evenings and started our days on the balcony enjoying the fabulous views. Awesome. We would definitely stay here again.

Our Favorite Paris Apartment

This was the third time we stayed in this apartment, and, as ever, it was wonderful. The place is comfortable and stylish. The terrace and roof deck have what has the be Paris’ best view of Notre Dame. The central location was ideal for us. We could easily walk to many sights, and Metro connections were nearby. Communications with the host were easy. We hope to return for a fourth stay before too long.

Coolest neighborhood great apartment!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Check in was facilitated by a greeter who showed how everything works and answered questions. Apartment is on a very busy street, but once you are inside on the fifth floor there is only quiet. The place was very clean and had all necessities including washer/dryer which was very handy. The terrace allows you to sit outside and view work being done to restore Notre Dame cathedral. The host is so nice and very responsive. This apartment is a great find!

Amazing Area

The area could not of been better. Close to everything you need. It is very noisy though. University kids seem to be partying a lot in that area, which would continue until three in the morning. We had a lot of rain and cool mornings so We were unable to take advantage of the terrace..

Wonderful outdoor spaces and location

Our family of 4 (including kids ages 13 and 14) had a great stay here. Thanks to Aries for meeting us to show us around and to Jean Francois for timely communication before we arrived. The apartment worked very well and we especially loved the outdoor spaces - I didn't realize the second terrace was such a large rooftop. We all slept well and the kitchen was great for making some meals. Of course the location is perfect - steps away from the Metro/RER to get everywhere in town, including directly to the airport. We loved watching everyone enjoy Notre Dame. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Place in a Perfect Location

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. Nothing can beat ending a day of seeing the amazing sights of Paris like sitting on the rooftop deck enjoying local cheeses and a glass of wine while looking out over the Seine and Notre Dame. Additionally, the apartment is in a convenient location in terms of transportation to all other major attractions. We really could not have asked for a better place to stay in Paris.

This apartment is perfect in every way, charming, stunning view of Notre Dame from the terrace balcony, cozy, and a great central location. The only problem was the strange and persistent smell of mold in the building and apartment. This could have been because it rained the entire time we were there. But it is something to ask about.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in this charming apartment. We loved it! The kitchen was well equipped. Comfy king sized bed. Washer and dryer. My favorite feature was the terrace. The view of Norte Dame is spectacular. We had breakfast on it every morning. It is also very centrally located. Close to the metro in a fun neighborhood. Can’t wait to go back

A simply TERRIFIC experience

Everything worked! The views from the balcony are spectacular - watching Notre Dame being rebuilt and the fabulous skyline. The space is clean, the bedroom and bed are comfortable, the 1/2 bath is a plus, and the upstairs living room/kitchen while small is comfortable and well-stocked. All the appliances including the up and downstairs ACs worked well. The spiral staircase was easy and safe for our 80-year-old selves. Wonderful!

Perfect Experience

We could not have found a more perfect place for our stay in Paris. Two parents in their 40s and a 12-year-old and eight year old child. Enough space for all and in walking distance of so much. City life in this neighborhood is incomparable. We used the metro to get anywhere that was a bit too far for walking. We adored this place and would definitely come back. Thank you!

Spectacular views in the heart of Paris

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful apartment in the heart of Paris! There is no better view of Norte Dame than from the terraces (yes, two!) here. Spotless, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed, the space is perfect for two people. There is everything one needs to prepare a meal, but there are many delicious restaurants and boulangeries nearby for meals or take-out. We loved having a washer and dryer in the apartment, too. There is an elevator to the 5th floor apartment, which opens onto the floor with the bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. The kitchen, living area, and access to the terraces are all on the next floor up, only accessible via a small, wrought iron circular staircase. You are in the busiest, most exciting place in Paris yet once you enter the apartment building, the noise disappears and you feel like you are in a secret rooftop getaway with excellent amenities. It was a joy and delight to spend our time here.

Near perfect

Clean, convenient, as advertised. The 2 rooms are well appointed. The stairs are tight; but, even w our problem knees we were able to manage. 1+ half bath convenient. Over a holiday weekend there was street noise and music from a night club. The lovely little balcony is perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Convenient to markets, patisserie, restaurants, and sights in the Latin quarter.

Second Time Around

I stayed in this apartment in 2018 with a friend, and had a repeat stay in September 2023 with my sister. It's ideal for two people but could easily handle three. The upstairs sleeping accommodations are quite comfortable. The apartment is on the fifth (top) floor and is behind three locked doors (building entrance, elevator, apartment entrance) so it is extremely safe. As nice as the apartment itself is, it is the stunning view from the balconies (there are two) that truly sets this listing apart. I for one could never get tired of the view of Notre Dame, and watching the reconstruction efforts was enthralling. Location and neighborhood are fantastic. You have to deal with tourists since the location is right there in central Paris, but this is not really a problem. Lots of good cafes and shops around the neighborhood. There are a few minor things that could be dealt with or perhaps use an upgrade - a tv that needs repair, a coffee machine that does not seem to function all that well, and a refrigerator that requires a little extra energy to close. But all that said, we love, love, loved this apartment!
