Flex House – Full Home with Pool and Guest House, Close to the Beach

Welcome to CasaFlex, a newly renovated paradise just a 5-minute walk to the beach! Have a peek of the ocean from the terrasse and look at the parrot while taking your coffee. You can also take a walk to the village for grocery shopping, go to the beach and take surf lessons.The main house features 3 bedrooms, while the annexed guest house offers a queen bed, bunk bed, full bathroom, and kitchenette. Perfect for two couples, this setup ensures comfort, privacy, and space for long stays.

The house is very safe and secure. There's a guard on duty every evenings and nights. The house is also equipped of security cameras, safes, alarm systems and digital locks.

Step into a spacious living room designed for relaxation, with plenty of natural light and cozy seating to unwind after a day at the beach. Enjoy meals in the charming dining area, or head outside to the beautiful pool where you can soak up the sun with a fresh drink in hand. At night, retreat to naturally lit rooms with comfortable beds that guarantee a restful sleep, making every moment at CasaFlex feel like home.

The charming beachside town of Esterillos Oeste is a short drive 20 minutes from Jaco and 40 minutes from Manuel Antonio. Although Jaco is only a short drive away, Esterillos Oeste remains quiet and peaceful with his 300 people. The town is surrounded mostly by patches of rice fields, grazing cattle, and thick tropical rainforest. Once you arrive in the modest town center near the beach, you will find a couple of small grocery stores, a few restaurants. Costa Ricans live in Esterillos Oeste, but there is also a sizeable population of ex-pats from USA and Canada including several living around the house.

Esterillos offers stunning views of the Pacific, and access to some of the best surfing and paddling in Costa Rica. This area is renowned for its abundance of fish, including black and blue marlin, sailfish and dorados, making it the perfect spot to cast a line and land a live one with sportsfishing expeditions. Visitors who want to remain on dry land can head out into the lush rolling hills that surround Esterillos Oeste on an ATV, or indulge in a leisurely trek through the countryside on horseback.

We had a pleasant stay in Esterillos. The house was more than we needed, but the location and the view is why we chose this property. The neighborhood has plenty of dining options and a couple of mini marts so no need to travel much.

Paradise

We loved everything about CasaFlex. The location and short walk to the beach were just as described, and the local residents were incredibly friendly and helpful. The owners/management were quick to respond to any questions or assistance needed while there as well. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a well maintained private little slice of paradise.

Great Value and Awesome Beach, The 2nd studio is a Great add on.

Pool was amazing, we spent most of our time there, the partial Air conditioning is important to know, 3 bedrooms have ac, living room does not, guest house is studio and has full A/C.They have a few camp chairs, sand Toys, water toys, yoga mats, very well equiped.Quiet as well, the beach is very large, and not very busy.

Our trip to Eaterillios Oeste

This was an awesome location and perfect lay out for 6 adults and one teen. Easy access to the beach, stores, sodas, and surf board rentals. Reasonable drive to Mangrove monkey boat, Manuel Antonio Park, Jacó and Resteraunt on the beach in Playa de Bejuca. I highly recommend this rental

Absolutely perfect destination house and pool

The house was immaculate, well stocked and spacious! The pool was a perfect break from the ocean and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Could not recommend more, this is the best short term rental I have ever had!

Tropical Oasis in Costa Rica

My graduate school cohort loved our stay at Julien’s Oasis in Esterillos. The property is beautiful and as described! The owner kindly allowed us to have an early check in and late check out. House is situated within a short walking distance from the beach and driving distance from Jaco and Quepo. We would definitely stay here again!!

Walking distance to the beach

This house has very good value for what you pay for. The property has solid walls and gates, which is great for feeling secure, although the town does not feel un-safe at any point. The beach is a short walk, as is the grocery store and several restaurants. I stayed with my wife and our 2 kids, and the house is a perfect size for the 4 of us. There are plenty of beds to sleep more, but I suspect a large group would find the common space a bit crowded. Overall this is a great spot to vacation. I highly recommend it.

Great House

The house is great and well equipped. We stayed for a month and all we could need was there. Foldable chairs on the property for the beach as well as pool floaties. The location is up quite a large hill from the beach and has stairs to the pool so not appropriate for someone with a mobility issue. There is a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance.Owner and property manager are great and respond immediately.

Beautiful home, cute town

This house was amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Description accurate and communication with host was amazing. The grounds are beautiful. We had everything we needed! We had lots of iguana visitors and saw several beautiful birds including the macaws! Amazing location. We would love to come back again!

Great house for our Costa Rica adventure

House is just as the pictures show. Plenty of space and attentive support from the management company. The area was a nice staging point for exploring the southern region. As can happen, the power went out one night for a bit, but they had candles already there so we swam in the pool by candlight, which isn't a bad way to spend an evening.

Great little spot in costa Rica

Easy to access house. We only stayed in the main part of the house and it was rainy season. So cooler and the AC in the bedrooms was very needed still. We had a slight issue with on demand water heater in main house shower but went over to the guest house to shower the kids. Pool was perfect. There is a packn play and high chair for the younger kids. We rented surf boards from Brett’s Surfboards down the road.

Great spot!

Thank you. We visit Costa Rica regularly and love Esterillos Oeste. Even though it was just the two of us this time we really wanted a nice porch and a private pool. The house had everything we needed and then some! It’s close to Jaco so we did a few things there and hiked El Miro, also Carara National Park and we love the Rainmaker in Parrita. The Super Sol in town has everything you need food/drink and had a resident scarlet macaw that was flying in for some sunflower seeds. El Patio has great wings and pizza and Soda Margarita has amazing breakfast (gallo pinto, eggs, bacon) and it’s right on the beach. Great property close to everything!

Beautiful Property

The property is beautiful and offers two separate living spaces who h was very helpful in our case. The quiet town felt very safe and gave convenient access to stores and restaurants. The pool was lovely and the ocean was a short ride (or long walk) away. We did have some issues with power going out periodically and a plumbing failure (and flooding) during a heavy overnight rain storm. The host was extremely responsive in both cases which was much appreciated. I think the plumbing and electric could both use a good update to prevent this in the future. That being said, I would happily return for another stay here as it was truly a beautiful place that allows you to safely and comfortably experience authentic Costa Rica.

Great view of the beach and ocean

This house is in a small, friendly beachside town very close walk to the beach. It is up on a hill, with gravel road access, so a 4WD would be beneficial. The separate guest house is great for teens. Kitchen has necessary tools and even an Instapot. The little grocery store has the essentials, but the kitchen was stocked with salt and pepper, coffee, filters. Bring laundry detergent and you can use washer. Beware the dryer door opening catches clothing so bring small bag for delicates! Two state parks are about an hour drive away for opportunities to see wildlife. Be sure to reserve entry online ahead of time, Manuel tends to fill up.

Wonderful Property

This is a beautiful property! We really enjoyed our time here. The grounds are beautiful and it is very quiet and peaceful. We spent a great deal of time on the open rooftop of the guest house; relaxing area with views of the ocean and sunsets. Our two teenagers used the guest house and thought that was pretty great (had I checked out the guest house and it’s bathroom before the last day, I would have claimed it ). The pool was clean and the poolside shower was a plus! The house is quite spacious, so we could have time by ourselves as needed. We were without most of the power for over 12 hours one night/morning so that got a bit hot without the AC/fans, but this seemed to be an issue with the power company as a truck came and rectified the issue minutes before the property manager and technician got to the house (and thankfully the kitchen continued to have power for some reason so we didn’t lose any of our food). Besides the power issue which was not the owner’s fault, our stay here was wonderful! We would definitely stay here again if we visit CR again; the property is a bit far (hour) from the activities we wanted to do, but, in our opinion, the tranquility of the property is worth the extra drive time. Thank you for letting us use your property; we had a great time!!A word of caution about driving from the property to La Fortuna- it was a terrifying journey (very narrow sometimes unpaved mountainous roads with no shoulder and huge drop offs)

Excellent Property

Stayed at this property for a week for our first time in Costa Rica. The check-in process was smooth. The location is stellar, on top of a steep hill, with a view of the pacific ocean. The pool was ready to go and maintenance free. There is a grocery store (Super Sol) a short walk away, and a restaurant 'El Patio' right next to it. Not that there were any security concerns, but the gate locks up well and the perimeter is walled. There is a resident lizard on site, a great big silent guy who likes to sun on the patio by the pool. I'm sure he eats the bugs. The bunkhouse has its own shower and kichenette and our teens loved it. Tip: buy water at the Super Sol when you come in. I loved the 3 Litre sized pop bottles they had. The proprietors were awesome with everything, and helped us arrange activities in the region. You are a 2 hour drive from San Jose, along good highways. You are 20 minutes out from Jaco, 5 from Del Toro, and 15 from the Town Center. The property management is responsive and fixed all our problems asap. The loft is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee...

Nice stay with family

My wife, our 3 adult children and I stayed for a week during the Christmas holidays. The property was very comfortable and exactly as described on VRBO. The house sits in a quiet and quaint village. As described on VRBO, the beach is just a short walk away from the house. Although it is certainly not the prettiest beach in the world, it is wide, clean and wasn't very crowed (even on the weekend). There are some nice restaurants/bars that are just a short walk from the house including Restaurante El Patio and Restaurante Los Almendros. We also enjoyed some lunches in nearby towns. Really enjoyed lunch at Soda Gorabito in Jaco (inexpensive local flair) and La Junta in Domigal.The property manager, Keylor, met us when we arrived and showed us around the property. He also checked in (via text) couple of times during our stay and organised a few activities for us including the ATV rides, coffee experience, guided nature walk at Manuel Antonio National Park and massages for my wife and daughters. All of the activities were great, but my favorite was the coffee experience. It was hosted by a friendly couple (Alex and Hana) from the village, who provided a very interactive coffee tasting (coffee/snacks/culture & history). Alex and Hana also host guaro tastings, which we weren't able to experience. However, they also provide surf lessons which both my daughters took and had a great time. Overall, wonderful vacation.
