"Yes, the breakfast room was clean and had good food. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times. The parking was very accessible but definitely get to your hotel early because it does get packed! Overall amazing stay with a central location located near all the attractions! "
"Room not ready on time, have us wrong room type and had to move to other side of complex. This burned up our afternoon time we wanted to spend at the pool which we then never used. Staff and manager never said anything. Breakfast at hotel was very poor quality for the hotel class. "
Carmel Valley Ranch, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
10/10 Excellent
"Jack at the Golf Shop is so friendly and made our first day! All staff was great throughout our stay. Perfect weather and just the right activities for our family! "
"We chose this hotel for its location and were not disappointed. It is very close to point lobos, downtown Carmel, and 17 mile drive. The views were really spectacular. We wanted a pool--so staying in a cute little inn in downtown Carmel or something wasn't really for us. So this hotel checked those boxes. I typically really love Hyatts as well, but this one probably has seen better days. Few things to note:
-Staff was super kind and friendly. Very willing to help.
-We stayed in an ocean view room and had free parking. The free part was amazing--we actually couldn't believe it. The parking lot, however, was really stressful. About 5 spots and VERY tight. It was always a challenge getting in and out.
-Pool was nice--but pretty small (and deep!). I think there were only like 8 chairs or something and that made it kind of stressful/awkward when people were hovering or clearly didn't have a place to sit.
-Towels were out frequently and they were pretty worn towels to begin with.
-Our room was pretty small--bathroom was pretty small. Balcony was cool, but pretty small with pretty hard furniture. Not the most comfortable.
-In general...relatively loud. We heard our neighbors a lot. We had to be those people one time and call the desk to report some dance party or something that was happening upstairs. Our walls were literally shaking with the bass. It was crazy.
It is a big, kind of sprawling "resort" so it is a little tricky knowing how to navigate everything. "
"Breakfast menu was good; the lady was helpful. Excellent coffee.
Room was small, claustrophobic, we could see spider webs in the corners of the room.
WiFi worked well
