Top notch pick for a family/group stay

We recently enjoyed a lovely long weekend in Paso with extended family, and this house was the perfect spot for it. We throughly enjoyed the outdoor space and amenities, location and all the cozy gathering spaces within.

Great house

Our group of 4 couples thoroughly enjoyed the house. In addition to a great location and layout, the home has a wonderful ‘well-lived’ feel as opposed to the often sterile environment of many rentals. We all agreed we would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We shared this lovely home as family of eight. The home is spacious with a large kitchen and game room. The views are spectacular with a well furnished pool area. Only shortcoming would be the MBRs, one had no end tables or dresser, so no where to put folded clothes or cosmetics and the bathroom had a pedestal sink, so no storage and no towel racks. The other MBR was fine but had a glass door leading to pool with no shade, so if daylight wakes you that could be a problem.

Lots of sleeping areas, well stocked kitchen and dining areas. The pool area was awesome. We used the hot tub, pool, grill and fire pit. Great location. It was close to downtown and close to all the wineries we went to. A good time was had by all 9 of us!

Obviously a treasured family home. Not entirely depersonalized. Well equipped. Spacious. An oasis. Even though there's plenty to explore and experience in Paso Robles, you could easily simply enjoy a weekend with family and friends without ever leaving Above It All.

Between the backyard with pool, hot tub, and firepit, the front patio, the multiple living rooms, dining rooms, and games room - there were so many places to lounge that our large group didn't feel even remotely crowded. The kitchen was a dream come true for those who love to cook - 8 burner stove, large island spacious enough for multiple people to be doing food prep, and two sinks!

All amenities were thoughtfully provided. The house is very big and comfortable for large parties. Management was quick to respond to any questions.The location was perfect. Just a quick note for winter stays: The house is large so the bedrooms were always VERY chilly. Two bathrooms have a strange mist like shower heads. The shower water is never really warm since the heat dissipates in the mist. I bet it is quite refreshing in the summer but definitely not what you want in the winter especially since the bathroom does not really warm up! One bedroom is a garage conversion and the split unit is in the room with the laundry so that bedroom is also quite chilly. Again these are just comments for a winter stay. Overall, the house was fantastic and all 6 adults felt very comfortable.

Beautiful home, gorgeous view!

This home is beautiful, clean, well-stocked and we were very comfortable there during our stay. The adults and kids loved swimming in the pool and we really enjoyed playing shuffle board and pool as well. The home is located very close to town and to grocery stores for any food we needed to buy. It is also a short drive from the house to the Sensorio Field of Light art installation which we visited on our last night! We had a couple of questions during our stay and they were answered very quickly by the management company.

As with many homes in the area, there is always one room that can not remain cool due to the afternoon summer heat. In this house, that is the game room. Because of that, the game room was not useable during the afternoon and early evening.

The salt water pool was kept to the perfect temperature, the hot tub worked great for nice and hot. The outdoor kitchen had a large pellet smoker and gas grill. We enjoyed the large outdoor fire pit too. The home cooled down well even in 98 degree weather. Very open layout which made it fun for our big family to play pool and shuffleboard while enjoying cocktails The bedrooms were all a good size and the adjoining kids bedroom to the large bedroom was a bonus we did not expect. We've stayed in Paso Robles many times this was our favorite home. Also worth mentioning the kitchen has every kind of pot pan and bowl you could possibly need and a 12 burner stove, a cook's dream. The house was very well cleaned and all furniture etc. was in good condition.

The home was spacious and clean. Views from the hilltop were beautiful. Diss appointed that the outdoor jacuzzi was locked and couldn’t be used, the pinball machines (one of the reasons we were excited about the rental) don’t work (which is not disclosed on the listing), and dealing with the alarm system was a nightmare.

A play house in Paso

We couldn't have been more thrilled with this hilltop house for our long-weekend stay. The whole family loved playing billiards and shuffleboard indoors, and having access to the pool and hot tub outside. The house is huge and comfortable, with multiple outdoor seating areas offering different views and configurations. We loved the deer that roamed the hillside! We would definitely hope for a repeat visit when bringing a crowd to Paso Robles.

Above it all home was fantastic. This house had everything you need to have a great time. Only complaint would be that you cant use the pin ball machines and the game room is extremely hot due to no AC so its not very usable until it cools down at night. House was very clean, pool/spa/fire pit/bbq were very nice and outdoor furniture was excellent. Highly recommend.

Dream Oasis…with all the amenities

This property is ideally situated 1/2 way between LA and SF making it a great location for a friends meet up. We enjoyed all of the amenities and the close proximity to Downtown and many tasting rooms. The AC works well too for those hot days/nights. You could spend a whole week here and not get bored!
